Oak Island vacation rentals

The house was great and included all the amenities we needed. It was also beautiful! There was plenty of parking at the beach and it was only a quick bike ride or walk away. The owners were extremely nice and very easy to work with. We cant wait to return next year!

From the moment we booked this home to the time we left everything was perfect! The owner is so nice and easy to communicate with. Check-in was easy since there was an electronic door lock. Best part, no keys to keep track of. The home is super clean and decorated to perfection. Like a five star resort. Took a video just so I could remember how cute everything was. The welcome parrot was above and beyond fun. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was fully stocked. There was even everything you would need for a fun day at the beach. No need to bring anything to this rental but your fun loving self! There are lots of great places to eat on the island as well as in the picturesque town of Southport. Don’t miss the boil on Wednesday's at the Turtle and pizza at pepperoni grill. We will definitely be back and want to bring our grand kids out so they can experience the “island”. Can’t wait to come back and spend more time at your home Jennifer!

Our Happy Place was very cozy and comfortable for our stay. Paul and Kelly definitely put a lot of thought into making it feel like a home away from home, which we greatly appreciated. While we loved the home, one thing worth noting is that the home is not located in the radius on the map as shown on Airbnb. Instead, the location pin seems to be associated with the public beach access, rather than the actual location of the home. This home is not beachfront and while the beach is only a short walk, we chose to drive since walking would have required us to cross a major intersection without pedestrian crossing lights, something we weren't comfortable with. Not a huge deal to drive, but worth mentioning. Since we hadn't been to OKI before, we didn't know what to expect. Now we do. All in all, we still had a very enjoyable stay and made great memories. I highly recommend Dan and Susan’s beautiful home on Oak Island. Everything was 5-star: the location (less than 5 min walk to the beach access), the communication with Susan (she answered all messages quickly and checked in on us given the bad weather), the accommodations (I even asked her what brand of mattresses they were at the end of our stay - that’s how comfortable the beds were!), and all the extras (fast WiFi, YouTube TV, well-stocked kitchen with cleaning supplies, small appliances, nice cups/utensils). We had high winds and a ton of rain over MDW, but we still had a relaxing and fun vacation exploring close-by restaurants and vegging on the comfy couches. Look forward to returning in the future!

Brian's place is cute and clean as a whistle. We love how bright it is with all the windows, plus the large deck and screened in porch create even more living space. The kitchen was well-stocked. We weren't bothered at all by the lack of dishwasher. It was easy to just wash up as we went along and plop the dishes in the handy drainer. The big comfy couch was a hit with our young adult children. The only change I would make would be to add a chest of drawers to the 2nd and 3rd bedrooms. The master was fine, but our kids rooms were always a big mess of open suitcases because there was no place for their clothes. What brought us back for a second year was the ideal location! The beach is two blocks away and it is an easy walk to the park, grocery store and coffee shop. Plus, you can ride a bike for miles and miles on lovely residental roads. We rented a golf cart for the week and enjoyed open air rides around town - especially to the beautiful Oak Island nature center and Vetererans park along the intercoastal waterway. Brian is very accommodating and easy to work with. I highly recommend Palmbrook One!

A perfect island getaway! We had an incredible stay at "The Sea Hive" Honestly, it was easy to feel right at home. There was plenty of room for our group to relax, the kitchen was fully stocked, including a nice little coffee station, perfect for our fam bam! The bedrooms were comfortable, the memory foam mattresses really did make a world of difference, so we all got great sleep. Plus location was great — just a short walk to the beach and or the pool, although the pool was closed for the winter we're excited to come back on a warmer weekend and try it out! The hostess was responsive and made sure we had everything we needed for a nice stay. If you're looking for a peaceful and well-appointed retreat on Oak Island, this is the place to be! We can’t wait to come back.

Heron’s Run fits exactly what our family needs in a break getaway. We like the more natural setting and the lack of large crowds. The condo is an easy walk to and from the beach. We feel so at home at Heron’s Run. We can’t wait to go back. Thanks Janet

Sunny Daze was absolutely amazing! From the moment we walked in, we felt right at home. The décor is absolutely beautiful—every detail is thoughtfully done, and the house has such a warm, welcoming coastal feel. We wanted for absolutely nothing during our stay; everything we could possibly need was provided and more. One of our favorite spots was the front porch and covered veranda. It truly felt like our own little sanctuary—a perfect place to sit back, relax, and enjoy the peaceful surroundings with a cup of coffee in the morning or a drink in the evening. Sunny Daze was everything we could have hoped for and more. Beautiful, comfortable, incredibly well-appointed, and clearly cared for with so much thought and attention to detail. We absolutely loved our stay and would give this home 10 stars if we could! We can’t wait to come back! ❤️
