Houfy and accepting Direct Payments with Stripe or Square

We have connected Stripe and Square on Houfy for you to receive direct deposits & payments from your Guests. This will only work if your listing is verified by us. Of course!

The process to add this service is extremely simple:

Please Log in > Menu > My Listings > Payment

Chose Stripe or Square, log in or sign up
Chose Stripe or Square, log in or sign up

Connect your properties to the accounts you would like to receive your funds in. (Below an example of 2 properties, 2 bank accounts)

What are the countries that support Square?

Card payment acceptance with the Square app is currently available in the US, Canada, Japan, Australia, and the United Kingdom. Square currently doesn’t support payment card processing outside of these countries or in U.S. territories such as Puerto Rico, Guam, the U.S. Virgin Islands, American Samoa, and Northern Mariana Islands.

I hope this gets through to Thijs. I have signed up for a Stripe account, since Square only allows US bank account holders. The problem is that when I try to connect to Stripe from WITHIN Houfy, the interface simply refuses to take a perfectly correct postal code. The error message is "This doesn't look like a valid postcode." The field asks for "Stad" (City), but whether you type a) just the city name, or b) just the CORRECT postal code, or c) both, you will get the same error message. I would love to take direct bookings and credit card payments on Houfy/ Stripe, but I can not proceed beyond this point! Please help!

Hi Babett, The screen you are at is at Stripe. This is Stripe's interface not Houfy. I hope you get it sorted out with them. Let me know, please.

This happened with me the other day with Square. It kept changing the spelling of my street by one letter. And it wouldn't let me override the spelling. But I already know that the misspelling is okay for my area.
