How do I copy seasonal rates from one listing to another?

Yes. If one listing already has your seasonal rates set up, you can copy those seasons to another of your listings instead of typing them again.

How to copy seasons

1. Open the listing that already has the seasons - this is the one you copy from - and go to Pricing, then Seasons.

2. Find the Tools section and click it to open. It starts closed, so there is nothing to see until you click it.

3. Under Copy Seasons to Another Listing, pick the listing you want to copy to from the dropdown, then click Copy Seasons and confirm.

That is all. The listing you copy to does not have to be created in any particular way, and it does not have to be an imported listing - any listing on your own account can receive the seasons.

Before you click, four things worth knowing

• It copies seasons, not your whole price setup. Your base nightly price, fees, taxes, discounts and calendar are not copied - only the seasons, with the nightly and weekend rates inside them.

• Weekly and monthly season rates are not carried over. If your seasons set a weekly or monthly rate, re-enter those on the new listing after copying.

• Only seasons dated this year or later are copied. A season that started in a previous year is skipped.

• If the target listing already has seasons for this year, copying replaces them. Houfy stops and asks you a second time before doing this, and once they are replaced the old seasons and their prices are gone.

If you do not see Seasons in the sidebar

Seasons is hidden while a channel manager is connected to your account, because your rates are being synced from that system instead. Change your seasonal rates in your channel manager and let them sync across.

Another way: export and re-import

The same Tools section has an Export CSV button and an import box. Exporting gives you a spreadsheet of your seasons that you can edit and then upload to another listing - useful when you want to shift the dates or prices on the way across. Keep the header row and the two "Discontinued Column" headings, and enter dates as mm/dd/yyyy.
