Houfy Brand Usage Terms

How hosts, partners and the press may use the Houfy name and logo: what is allowed without asking, what is not, how to report misuse, and how to ask about other uses.

Last updated September 3, 2026

Hosts, guests, partners and the press often want to say they are connected with Houfy and use our name or logo to do it. These Brand Usage Terms explain what you may do without asking and what needs our written permission. They are part of the Houfy Terms of Service and are issued by Houfy, Inc., 1500 N Grant St # 4282, Denver, Colorado 80203, USA ("Houfy", "we", "us"). Where these Terms and the Terms of Service conflict, the Terms of Service govern.

Some uses of our Marks are covered by a separate written agreement, for example with a software partner or a licensee. That agreement governs those uses. These Terms govern everything else.

Our Marks

"Marks" means the names, logos and other signs we use to identify Houfy and its services, whether or not registered: the HOUFY word mark, the Houfy logo, the name houfyProtect and the domain houfy.com, together with our icons, design elements and trade dress. If we publish logo files and style rules, we will link them here.

What you may do without asking

  • Say truthfully that you are a Houfy host, that your home is listed on Houfy, or that guests can book direct on Houfy.

  • Use the word "Houfy" in ordinary text, unaltered, to refer to us or our services.

  • Use the logos, buttons, badges and widgets we provide, as we provide them and where they are meant to go: your own website, your social profiles, your emails to guests, your printed material.

  • Link to your Houfy listing, your profile or your custom houfy.com URL.

  • Share your referral link under the Referral Program Terms.

  • If you write about Houfy, whether a review, a blog post or a news article, use our name and logo to identify us, unaltered.

What you may not do

  • Change our Marks: no recolouring, stretching, cropping, animating, abbreviating, translating or combining them with other words or graphics so that they read as a new mark.

  • Use them so that someone could think Houfy endorses, sponsors or operates your business, your website or your listing, or that you speak for Houfy.

  • Use our Marks more prominently than your own name, or on parts of a website, app or material that have nothing to do with Houfy.

  • Put "Houfy", "houfyProtect" or anything confusingly similar in a business name, trade mark, domain name, website name, app name, social-media handle or custom URL, including the custom houfy.com address on your listing. See the Custom Link Guidelines.

  • Use our Marks in a way that is false or misleading, or that suggests we said or did something we did not. Honest opinion about Houfy, good or bad, is not restricted by these Terms.

  • Put our Marks on merchandise or physical goods for sale or give-away, other than items we supply or approve in writing.

  • Add ® or ™ to our Marks. We will say here if that changes.

  • Use our Marks in connection with anything that breaks our Community Standards or the law.

Who owns the Marks

The Marks and the goodwill in them belong to Houfy, including any goodwill your use creates. Using them under these Terms means you accept that, and that you will not register, apply for, or challenge our rights in any Mark or anything confusingly similar to one.

The permission we give you

The permission in these Terms is free, non-exclusive, non-transferable and can be withdrawn. It lasts while you have a Houfy account or a written agreement with us and ends when that ends. We may ask you to correct a use that does not follow these Terms. If we withdraw your permission we tell you why, and you have 30 days to remove our Marks from websites, profiles and material, except where the use is misleading or harmful, in which case we may ask you to stop at once.

Reporting misuse

If you see a website, listing, account or message pretending to be Houfy, or using our name or logo in a way these Terms do not allow, tell us at info@houfy.com or report it as described in our Copyright Policy.

Any other use

For a use these Terms do not cover, such as co-branding, a partnership announcement, merchandise, or a feature or integration that carries our name, email info@houfy.com before you start. Silence is not permission.

Changes

We may update these Terms. We post the new version here with its date and give at least 30 days' notice of changes that affect what you may do, after which you update your use to match.
