Fort Walton Beach vacation rentals

Apple Maps brought us right to the condo complex. All units are clearly marked. Check in was easy. We arrived after dark and the lock keypad didn’t look like others I had used so it took me a minute to figure it out it. You have to touch it to illuminate it otherwise it looks like a card reader. The interior was immaculate. We had two small dogs with us so I was glad to see there was no carpet. Downstairs there are two bedrooms and 1 full bath as well as a laundry room. In the laundry room there are amenities for pets and modern washer and dryer as well as laundry detergent. Upstairs is the common living/kitchen/dining room and a huge smart TV. The kitchen is well appointed. The upstairs guest bedroom has numbers which my youngest loved. There is a half bath and the “Captain’s Quarters” bedroom has another full bath with a very nice shower and double sinks. The beds are comfortable however the bed frame did squeak a bit. Remote control ceiling fans and lights are a great perk. 10/10!!!

This is the second time we have stayed at this property. This home makes you feel at home. The owners are easy to work with. This home has everything you need including a big fenced back yard. We are getting our dates together so we can return at the end of the year.

This was our first Airbnb experience and we could not have been happier with it. We chose to stay with Elaine because of her other reviews. She was everything and more you could expect from someone hosting you in their home. She was in constant communication with us from the start and also called while we were on the way to offer a better route to take. The house was also better than we expected. We booked it before she had posted pictures and we could not have been more pleased. Everything was either brand new or had been updated very nicely. We had 5 adults, one teenager and two small dogs. Everyone had plenty of room regardless if we were watching tv or sitting in the screened in porch enjoying dinner. Our puppies also enjoyed the backyard with a fence where they could run around freely. One of the highlights of the trip was a crab boil we had with Elaine in her home across the street. We brought all the groceries and she cooked it to perfection. We also hired her and her boat to take us out dolphin watching with lunch on crab island. It was worth every penny as we saw 10 or 12 dolphins right at the boat. Overall it was a great experience that was enjoyed by everyone. I would highly recommend staying here.

This was not your typical vacation rental where you just show up and stay… the attention to detail, comfort, and care put into this place really stood out. Scott was absolutely incredible with communication from start to finish. He was responsive, thoughtful, and genuinely made us feel like our stay mattered. The condo itself was beyond impressive comfortable, beautifully maintained, and had everything we needed for a relaxing beach getaway. The amenities were amazing, and the entire property was immaculate. We were especially impressed seeing the pool area and rinse-off stations being cared for daily. It’s clear the owners take a lot of pride in this place. I highly recommended this unit! It was clean, well decorated and extremely comfortable. Paige was very friendly and flexible. We had no issues but contacted her about an extra blanket that we needed and she went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. There are ample stores and restaurant's within a 5-10 minute drive and Joe Beasley Park (beach) is about 10-12 minutes away. We normally stay in the destin area but this unit has completely sold us on Ft. Walton!

Danny & Megan were the epitome of perfection as far as VRBO hosts go. They were attentive and kind and offered their time and efforts to help us through a very trying time. We stayed from Sat-Wed and, unfortunately, Sunday morning our dog, Jett, ran out of the front door (hubby didn't shut it completely) and went missing for 5.5 long days. Megan & Danny did everything they possibly could to help us get reunited with our pup (we eventually found him so no worries at all). But aside from that unfortunate turn of events, their hospitality knows no bounds. Their little slice of heaven is the BEST place to stay. The bed and pillows are the most comfortable I've EVER slept on. The shower was big enough for 2 and the waterfall effect was sooo soothing to us during our stay. I loved the frigid A/C in the middle of this hot Florida heat! I absolutely recommend staying here 1000%! They are in close proximity to everything, and their wooded yard makes it feel like you're away from it all. Truly a special place. I hope you choose to come stay with them, they are really special folks and it's a super special place in our hearts.

We’ve rented this condo four times already—and have our fifth stay booked—which should tell you everything about how much we love it. So what keeps us coming back? Honestly, everything. First, it truly feels like home. That’s a must for us. From the comfortable, sturdy furniture (a big deal for my husband) to the well-maintained bathrooms, every detail is thoughtfully done. The unit is beautifully decorated, updated, well-furnished, and most importantly—spotlessly clean. Then there’s the view. Waking up and enjoying coffee while looking out at that scenery is one of our favorite parts of every trip. It’s absolutely amazing from the moment you open your eyes. And the beach? You simply can’t beat the access. Just a short walk across the deck and your feet are in the sand. The sand is soft, white, and stunning—easily one of the nicest beaches we’ve seen in Florida, and comparable to Turks and Caicos, which says a lot. The property itself is just as impressive. Parking is plentiful and feels very secure—we even brought our e-bikes and had no concerns leaving them in the gated lot. The building is smaller, which gives it a more private, relaxed feel, and everything is easy to navigate. The unit is on the fourth floor, accessible by elevator or stairs, and we rarely had to wait for the elevator. If your favorite week isn’t already booked, don’t hesitate—this place is truly special and makes for an incredible vacation..

We spent the whole month of February in Rhonda's beautiful condo. Rhonda is a first class host! She was very quick to respond and made sure we had everything we needed. The condo was clean and very nicely furnished. The beds were comfortable with ample blankets and pillows. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you would need to cook and serve a meal. The view from the balcony is gorgeous. The private, gated entrance to the beach was nice and there were private bathrooms for guests. The location was perfect for us. We enjoyed the less busy area, but were just a very short drive from Destin. We would definitely stay at A Shore Thing again!
