Providence, RI

A trip to RI would not be complete without trying at least one Italian restaurant on Federal Hill. There are countless excellent restaurants as Providence is home to Johnson & Wales, a renowned culinary arts school. You can't go wrong with any of the restaurants, but our favorites on Federal Hill are Camille's and Massimo. Off the hill, a favorite is Los Andes for Latin American food. And we highly recommend Pastiche for dessert where everything is sinfully delicious but our

Jamestown, RI

Jamestown, RI

Jamestown is an island just a 5 minute scenic ride from Newport over the Newport Bridge. But a more fun way to get to Jamestown is by taking the Jamestown-Newport Ferry from one of 3 spots in Newport. You can hop on and off the ferry to explore various attractions including the Rose Island Lighthouse. Jamestown has some great shops and restaurants along with some beautiful parks. Walk across the street to East Ferry Deli or up Narragansett to Slice of Heaven for lunch or coffee

Tiverton & Little Compton, RI

Tiverton & Little Compton, RI

Tiverton is a 5 minute drive from the house. Little Compton borders Tiverton to the south. You can see the shores of Little Compton and Tiverton from the house on the east side of the Sakonnet River (to your left when looking at the water). One of our favorite drives is along Main Road in Tiverton. We usually start off with coffee at Coastal Roasters (5 minute drive from the house) where we may take a few minutes to relax in the Adirondack chairs and enjoy the waterfront view

Newport, RI

Newport, RI

Newport is a 20 minute drive from our Rhode Island Waterfront property. Our favorite things to do include sunset sails on the Adirondack II; visiting Sachuest to walk the trail and visit the beach; walking the Cliffwalk, visiting the mansions; enjoying the jazz and folk festivals at Fort Adams; visiting Newport Vineyards on Sunday afternoons to enjoy the live music and outdoor lawn games; enjoying drinks on the Adirondack chairs at Castle Hill overlooking the ocean; shopping

Bristol, RI

Bristol, RI

Bristol is just a 10 minute beautiful drive from our Rhode Island Waterfront vacation property. We love Colt State Park for walking, biking, or just enjoying a sunset. We also recommend Blithewold Mansion and Gardens. There are often events with live music but it's always worth going to see their beautiful gardens. You can also take the ferry to Prudence Island for just $9 round trip. There are also many great restaurants and shops, particularly on Hope Street. There are lots

Warren, RI

Warren, RI

Warren is another quaint seaside town next to Bristol, about 20 minutes from the house. There are great shops and restaurants. One of our favorite waterfront restaurants is Trafford and we also love the food at Eli's Kitchen.
