Tiverton & Little Compton, RI

Tiverton is a 5 minute drive from the house. Little Compton borders Tiverton to the south. You can see the shores of Little Compton and Tiverton from the house on the east side of the Sakonnet River (to your left when looking at the water). One of our favorite drives is along Main Road in Tiverton. We usually start off with coffee at Coastal Roasters (5 minute drive from the house) where we may take a few minutes to relax in the Adirondack chairs and enjoy the waterfront view of the Sakonnet River. We also often stop for breakfast or lunch at the Black Goose Cafe as they have many healthy, yet delicious, menu options. Then to peruse the gift shops at Tiverton Four Corners. There's an amazing cheese shop, The Cheese Wheel, that offers free samples to decide which ones to buy and bring back to enjoy happy hours on the deck of the house. Then keep driving into Little Compton where you can stop for a winery tour at Carolyn's Sakonnet Vineyards and then continue driving on to South Shore Beach. We highly recommend a stop at Gray's Ice Cream on the way home. For those who like casinos, Tiverton Casino just opened this year in Tiverton although we haven't had a chance to check it out yet.
