My husband Paul and I own and stay here frequently and have a local cohost as well. Paul and I were both raised overseas and continued traveling for work and adventure as adults before meeting late in life to adventure together. In the Hidden we most often travel with our pets. Though we live in Virginia, the Toledo area has become another home since one, or both, of us frequently comes out to help a friend that, tragically, ended up in a full care nursing home in the Toledo area in 2016. It just made sense to find a place of our own for when we come out. Thankfully, we have other friends nearby in Michigan and now, with a home, neighbors that are friend's as well. When we decided that a vacant house when we weren't there was not a good idea, we settled on short term renting. But, we weren't comfortable without having people we know be available to guests locally. So, we reached out to an Airbnb host we had stayed with several times and he was really supportive. Now, he is our cohost. We love our little place, we love the neighborhood and have been exploring more and more of the area, discovering so much. Whatever brings guests to our place, we truly hope they enjoy and discover the area, and, most of all, that they feel welcome and at home.
