How to view and upload my rental agreement

Last updated August 23, 2026

Where to find it

Go to Manage Listings, pick the listing and click Edit. In the left menu click Settings, then Rules. The page opens with every section closed - click Age & Rental Agreement to open it.

You have two options

  1. Houfy Agreement (recommended). This is the tab that opens by default. Click Create Agreement to build your agreement on Houfy. Houfy then collects your guest's signature for you - and their photo ID in the same step, if you add an ID field - so you do not need a separate e-signature service.

  2. Upload PDF. Click the Upload PDF tab, then drag your file onto the box or click it to browse. PDF, DOC or DOCX, up to 10MB.

If you have both, your Houfy Agreement takes priority.

Collecting your guest's ID

In the same section, switch on Require Government ID Upload and guests must upload a photo ID before booking. Please note that switching it off applies to all of your listings.

Where does my guest view the agreement?

After the guest enters their dates and goes to book, the agreement appears in the booking step. They can download it to read before ticking "I agree to the rental agreement".

If a guest has already booked and you still need their signature, open the reservation and use the Submission link button - it sends them a link that collects the signature, and their ID too if your agreement asks for one.
