In 1995 I did The Artist's Way. It's a 12-week course you do yourself to unblock your own inner blocks. Whatever it is you want to do, but somehow can't get there, this is a great course to help you. It's written for artists, but I used it to find the courage to quit my job and start my own private practice. One of the assignments was an artist's date. Every week you did an artist's date. That could be as simple as getting yourself a nice cup of coffee to taking off on an adventurous road trip for the day. My practice started in 1996 and I went on sabbatical in 2018 ~ 22 years!

Day trip tour from Vermont Cottage. DIRECTIONS~Right turn out of the driveway, and turn right onto Route 100. Head north on Route 100. Take a right on Route 100A. At end of Route 100A take a right onto Route 4. After the Town of Bridgewater, you will see the 1st covered bridge on your right.

Vermont Pilgrimage
Every year my friend and I get into the car to explore Vermont. The rule is that we have no planned route. We simply point and turn at will. Wherever we end up at dinner time we stop and eat. After dinner we head straight home with the fastest route. We ended up in Tinmouth, Wells, Ira, and Middletown Springs, Vermont. This year we added the requirement that the trip has to involve an antique store.
