Outdoor Fun For the Kids
- Antique Hand Pump Well
(for hours of fun for the kids, and a spare water source for rinsing (not potable); grab a pail and watch children have fun in the summer sun getting soaking wet! Remember to "prime the pump" to get the well to draw water by pouring water down the top of the well pump.
- Playhouse
The little red and white playhouse was lovingly built by my brother and his friend when they were in high school (he is in his 50s now!). Lovingly cared for and ready for your children. Seasonally, we place furniture and decorations in the playhouse. There is also a small basket of playthings in the windowsill at the bottom of the cottage stairs. Your children can add their baby dolls and play toys, and get lost in their creativity.
- Covered Pedestrian Bridge
Kids love to take off on a hike and cross this nod to east-central PA bridge history.
- Mini Troll Bridge
A great place to retell stories of friendly little trolls (or gnomes) and create great fun without any screen time!
- Tree Fort
Ft. Wobbly - This is an open-air climbable "Tree" fort on the property that children can enjoy with parental supervision. Please use caution and play at your own risk.
- Tree Swing
Simple fun can be the best fun. "Push me again!" will be the mantra you hear again and again!
- Mini Camp Chairs
There are a couple of kid camping chairs...you can find them in the shed. Please don't leave them out in the weather; return them when you leave.
