Techy things you may need to know for your stay at Dreams Come True Cottage:
General Guidelines
- IMPORTANT - Children may not use any equipment. Parental supervision is required.
- DO NOT change or move any equipment. One HDMI cable is provided for your gaming enjoyment.
- Guests are reminded to bring their login information for any streaming services they want to enjoy during their stay. Guests who utilize cable or satellite providers at home should also bring their login information, as these logins will allow access to their content when streaming at Dreams Come True Cottage (e.g., bring your DirecTV login information so that you can stream ABC, Bravo, or HGTV, for example).
Internet/Wi-fi
- We use Verizon Fios as our internet provider. The service speed is stated to average 300 Mbps and is generally sufficient for watching HD content on three or more devices simultaneously.
- The password is posted on the wall beside the TV (located in the family room on the 2nd floor).
- Problems with wi-fi? DO NOT attempt to reset the router, as doing so will reset the network name and password to factory settings, making resolution more difficult.
- The router is located in the family room and a signal booster is in the primary bedroom. Please do not touch these devices.
- Although very reliable in our area, access to the internet, provided by Verizon Fios, cannot be guaranteed. Additionally, service response times cannot be guaranteed. Guests are reminded that their cellular mobile hotspot may be a good alternate source of wifi internet if Verizon Fios service resolution is delayed.
Television Options
- A 55" Roku TV is located in the family room.
- A 50" Roku TV is located in the primary bedroom
- A 45" Roku TV is located in the front bedroom.
Roku Streaming

- Guests may use and load any Apps available on Roku TVs.
- Use your username and password to stream your desired content (e.g., Netflix, HBO, Disney, etc). If you are a cable or satellite customer at home (e.g., DirecTV), use those login credentials to access the channel's streaming app (e.g., HGTV Go, ABC, Paramount, Bravo, etc).
- Upon first use of Roku on the TV, guests will be prompted to log into "Guest Mode". Enter your date of departure so that your login information will be automatically cleared on the date of your departure.

Gaming
- A silver/grey HDMI cable is already connected to the TV in the family room and available for gaming equipment that guests may bring.
- Toggle the Source Button on the TV remote to HDMI4 to use this cable.
- NO cables, wires, outlets or equipment should be changed/moved/touched.
