REMEMBER:
Check-out time is no later than 11 am, as our cleaning staff may arrive to prepare the cottage for our next guests.
We do offer flexible check-out time at Clover's Cottage when possible. The date/time of cleaning is generally scheduled shortly after you make your reservation, so if you would like to increase the likelihood that we can offer flexible check-out, please ask ASAP.
Here are some additional reminders that may help you. Before your departure, please tidy up the cottage by doing the following:
- Close and lock all windows.
- Clean up after your pet outside (There is a poo bag dispenser at the right side of the house on a deck post).
- Remove perishable food that you brought with you to the cottage.
- Clean all dishes, unload the dishwasher, and put all dishes away. Cabinets and drawers in the kitchen are labeled to help you place items in the correct location.
- Place all used sheets and bath linens in the laundry room. DO NOT remove mattress pads and zippered pillow covers. We'll take care of the rest. Leave the bedspreads and pillows in the rooms. A neatly made bed and folded bath linens tell us you didn't use them (and therefore do not need to be laundered).
- Return the hammock and umbrellas to their designated locations. The hammock and one umbrella should be placed in the rear corner of the living room. The other umbrella should be placed in the upstairs sitting room by the sliding door.
- Cool-weather guests - If electric heat thermostats in any room were turned on during your stay, they must be turned off (except for the 2nd-floor bathroom and the living room, which should be set to 55 degrees).
- Place all RINSED, BAGGED, and SECURED recycling in the marked containers behind the garage.
- Place all BAGGED and SECURED trash in the marked containers behind the garage.
- Turn off all lights except those marked otherwise.
- Lock all exterior doors.
(Our cleaning fee is based on a typical changeover cleaning at our cottage. Cleaning costs above this amount are the guest's responsibility and may incur additional fees as outlined in the rental agreement.)
