The 23-Star Salute

A local creation, the 23-Star Salute is poised to become the signature drink of downtown Pensacola, commemorating the annexation of Florida by the United States that spawned the city’s American heritage.

Recipe:

1 ½ ounce rye whiskey

1 ounce brandy

½ ounce triple sec

2 dashes orange bitters liqueur

Muddled an orange slice in the glass, add a cherry, ½ ounce honey, ½ ounce lime juice, ½ ounce simple syrup to the spirits and stir! And enjoy!
