Auto Mode to the Rescue!

To use Auto mode you can move the temperature slide up or down. The blue represents the A/C temperature and the orange represents the heat temperature. You can set them to the perfect temperature for your personal comfort... within limits.

Since limits for both overlap, be mindful when setting them. For example you can not set the cooling temperature to 70 and then set the heat setting to 75. The unit will over-ride either the cooling or heating temperature.

Since there are two thermostats, keep this in mind for coordinating the units. If the units are battling one another, an alert will be sent and one or both units will register a malfunction. To avoid the units from shutting down, keep them within the same range as each other.

For example: One guest turned the master bedroom unit, which controls the west side of the house (bunk room included), to heat to a temperature of 74 degrees. At the same time they turned the main floor unit to cool to 72 degrees. The units battled each other, cooling and heating, until they registered a malfunction and turned off. When I receive an email from the unit registering a possible malfunction, I will adjust the temperature remotely to avoid both units from shutting down and email or text you with the problem.

To avoid any issues, use common sense and keep the temperatures of both units within 4 degrees of each other. This keeps one unit from working overtime and/or registering a possible malfunction. Share this information with your entire group to avoid thermostat wars and possible auto shutdowns!
