My Houfy calendar shows dates blocked. How do I open them up?

The calendar cell tells you why it is blocked - booking cut-off, minimum notice, your own block, a reservation, or an imported feed. Here is what to do for each.

Start by reading what the blocked cell says - the calendar tells you the cause.

Open your listing's calendar: profile picture, top right, then Manage Listings, then your listing, then Calendar.

1. The cell says "Booking cut off blocked"

You have set a limit on how far ahead guests can book, and these dates are past it. Click the cell and then click Manage cutoff date, or click Settings in the toolbar, open the Availability tab and click Edit. Under Booking cutoff choose No limit, or choose Specific date or Months ahead and pick a further date.

The cut-off date itself stays bookable; only dates after it are closed.

2. The cell says "Minimum notice required"

These dates fall inside the notice period you require before a stay starts. Click the cell and then Manage lead time, or go to Settings > Availability > Edit and lower or remove the minimum notice under Lead time.

3. The cell is grey with diagonal stripes and no label

You blocked these dates yourself. Click them, or drag across a range, open the Block tab in the editor that appears - it will read Blocked - and click the green Unblock Dates button.

4. The cell shows a reservation

There is a booking on those dates. They will reopen when the reservation ends, is cancelled or is moved.

5. None of the above, or the block came back after you cleared it

The dates are almost certainly coming from a calendar you have imported. Click Settings, then the Sync tab, to see your imported calendars. If another platform's blocks are closing dates you want to keep open on Houfy, click the pencil icon on that calendar's row and set its Import Options to Only Reservations.

What is the booking cut-off date?

It is the furthest date in the future you want to accept bookings for. Choose No limit and guests can book any future date - which means it is on you to keep your rates current that far ahead, so set a base rate you would still be happy with if someone books a high-season date you have not priced yet.
