How to create your Hostaway account id and API Key?

Houfy connects to Hostaway using two values that Hostaway issues: an Account ID and an API key. You create them in Hostaway, then paste them into Houfy.

In Hostaway

1. Go to dashboard.hostaway.com/settings/hostaway-api.

2. Click Create, enter a name, and set the partner to Houfy. Click Create again to generate the credentials.

3. Copy both the Account ID and the API key before you close the popup. The API key is shown only while that popup is open - if you close it you will have to generate a new one. Treat the API key like a password: it gives full access to your Hostaway account, so do not share it, paste it into a message, or include it in a screenshot. If you think it has been exposed, use Revoke access token in Hostaway and generate a new one.

In Houfy

4. Open Software partners from the left menu under Manage Listings: houfy.com/channel-managers.

5. Click Connect with Hostaway.

6. Paste your Account ID into Hostaway Account ID and your API key into Hostaway API Key, choose whether to import new listings or map your existing Houfy listings, and continue.
