Offering special discounts in your Houfy calendar can help you attract more bookings during slower periods or highlight seasonal promotions.

You can easily set a percentage discount for specific dates right from your listing calendar—no complex setup required.

Hosts who want to adjust nightly rates by adding calendar discounts to attract guests and increase occupancy.
Steps to Add a Special Discount
Log in to your Houfy account.
Go to Menu › Manage Listings.
Choose the listing you want to update.
Click Calendar at the bottom of the listing, between the Edit and Pricing options.
On the calendar grid, click the first date you want to discount and drag across to the last one. To pick dates that are not next to each other, hold Ctrl (Cmd on a Mac) and click each one.
A panel slides in from the right - on a phone it opens as a sheet from the bottom. Scroll to the section headed Discount Rules and find the Discount box.
Your selected dates are already filled in - there is nothing to type.
Enter your discount percentage (for example, 15 for 15% off).
Click Save Pricing to apply the discount.
Repeat these steps for any other dates you want to discount.
Troubleshooting
Can’t find the discount field? Make sure you selected at least one date on the calendar grid. The pricing panel only opens once a date is selected.
Discount not showing on your listing? Check that your base rate is set for those dates. Discounts apply to the nightly rate you already entered.

Q: Can I remove a discount later? A: Yes. Select the same dates again, clear the Discount box, and click Save Pricing.
Q: Can I set different discounts for different dates? A: Yes. You can create unique discounts for each date range you select.
Q: Do guests see the discounted price? A: Not in search results. A calendar discount is applied when a guest prices those specific dates on your listing, but it does not currently change the nightly price shown on search results pages. If you want the lower price to show up in search, use a coupon or a length-of-stay discount instead.
