Welcome to Salty Sea Dog, a cozy escape on the secluded Corolla 4x4 beaches where wild horses roam. A 4WD vehicle is required, rewarding you with quiet, uncrowded beaches and a special Outer Banks getaway. Relax in the covered outdoor sitting area with a fire-top table, soak in the 4-person hot tub, unwind in the hammock, or gather around the yard fire pit. Enjoy coffee on the front deck with rocking chairs under live oaks. Inside offers two bedrooms and everything needed for a relaxing stay.

The space
Salty Sea Dog is a charming two-bedroom, one-bath home tucked away in the beautiful Corolla 4x4 beaches, just a short two-minute walk to the ocean. Each bedroom features its own TV and ample storage, while the cozy living room offers comfortable seating and a large TV—perfect for relaxing after a day at the beach.
The open kitchen is fully equipped with full-size appliances and all the essentials you need for cooking and dining in. Step outside to enjoy the sun deck with rocking chairs, or gather around the fire pit in the evening for stories and s’mores.
Under the house, you’ll find a full outdoor living area complete with a four person hot tub, 4-in-1 game table, comfy seating, and a propane fire-top table—an ideal spot to unwind or entertain. The spacious yard offers plenty of room for outdoor games, lounging, or simply enjoying the coastal breeze. Guests can also enjoy a variety of indoor and outdoor games, including cornhole, perfect for family fun and friendly competition.
Well-behaved dogs are welcome with prior approval. Please include the breed, age, and number of pets in your inquiry.

Guest access
Guests have full access to the home and outdoor areas. Under the house storage room is locked for owner use only.

Other things to note
- This home is located in the 4x4 area and requires a high-clearance 4WD or AWD vehicle. Road conditions vary with the tides and weather.

- The loft is accessed by a ladder and may not be suitable for small children, older adults, or anyone with mobility concerns.

- Pets must be approved in advance.

- When driving in the 4x4, please be mindful of other motorists and the wild horses that roam our beaches. The speed limit is always 15mph when within 300 yards of any pedestrians.

- There is strictly no touching or feeding the wild horses. Fines can be substantial and are strictly enforced.

- It is recommended that all groceries and supplies be purchased before driving up the beach, as you will not have access to stores once in the 4x4 area.
