The idea was born out of a simple but powerful frustration: as a vacation rental host, Thijs wanted a way to work directly with return guests and eliminate the high service fees charged by online travel agencies (OTAs). What started as a personal solution grew into a mission to connect hosts and travelers worldwide through a direct-booking platform.

Swapnil Chavan (Lead Programmer) studied computer science and has been building Houfy from our Pune office since 2015.

Will Houfy sell ownership to raise funds?

Currently there is no reason to raise funds. Our costs are limited and manageable for the foreseeable future.
