North Woodstock:
We love the Woodstock Inn which is an easy walk from the condo. They have a lot of variety on the menu and have their own brewery so they have a great selection of beers. Lots of IPAs but a good variety and usually a great seasonal selection. In the summer they have great outdoor seating.
Another place we frequent is the Pemi Public House in North Woodstock. It's a little closer to the condo than the Woodstock Inn. More casual dining, great thin crust pizzas and a good selection of burgers and sandwiches. Again, great outdoor seating in summer for people watching.
Lincoln:
In Lincoln our favorite is One Love Brewery. It's just past the Price Chopper on Main Street. They also brew their own beers which are more wheat German/European style beers. The food is modern pub and if you like Poutine I highly recommend it. They have Huge homemade pretzel appetizer that my kids (13 and 10) love. Outdoor seating is wonderful in warm weather. The indoor seating at One Love is beautiful as they have restored one of the old wood mills and kept a lot of the charm with a big fireplace and bar upstairs.
In the Price Chopper plaza just across from One Love is El Charro Mexican Restaurant with a good selection. They also have added outdoor seating on the sidewalk for summer.
If you're looking for upscale Italian try La Vista at the River Walk. I highly recommend calling in advance for reservations out on the deck which overlooks the South Peak of Loon Mountain.
For good burgers and brews try the Black Mountain Burger Company. It's also right next to Chutters the famous candy store which is a huge hit for the kiddos. The Common Man in Lincoln is another popular spot with the family. Although we have never been there in the summer because we like to warm up by the fire after a long day of skiing. They have a very large selection so there is something to please everyone. The Black Diamond Pub located at Loon Mountain is another gem with a great menu. We hit the Black Diamond Pub at least once during our annual ski vacation. Great food and a nice retreat from the cafeteria style ski lodge food. Camp III is also a favorite spot for lunch on the mountain. Camp III is known for the venison stew but they also have delicious daily specials.
Breakfast:
If you're looking for a good breakfast place Flapjacks is the place to go but get there early or the line is down the street. This is one of my kid’s favorite places with very large breakfast portions.
The other option is the White Mountain Bagel Company. As close to NY bagels as you will get in NH and really good breakfast sandwiches.
Takeout:
Our favorite pizza is GH Pizza. There is a menu for GH pizza in the condo in the kitchen basket labeled "Menus". We also like Thai 9 for takeout (menu in condo as well).
If you're looking to pack a lunch for your day’s adventures Wayne’s Deli in North Woodstock has a great menu of sandwiches to go or Subway in Lincoln is good for that too.
If you’re looking for a local flare, the Purple Tomato in Lincoln has fabulous sandwiches and salads to go in addition to a small market with lots of snacks and goodies.
I scream, you scream, we all scream for ICE CREAM!
There is a little ice cream stand called Conehead’s in North Woodstock right on the corner of town. They have a huge selection of hard ice cream and they do all kinds of soft-serve flavors using syrup. On the other side in Lincoln right next to GH Pizza is another ice cream stand called Ice Cream Delights with a large selection. My kids prefer Conehead’s in North Woodstock because they can take their ice cream around back and walk by the river or into town a bit further to Cascade Park which has big rocks that stretch out into the river for sitting. It's also a great swimming hole. Woodstock Pie and Coffee Company is another good dessert place. Great whoopie pies and other yummy treats.
