The space
Yucca Garden Lodge is a separate, self-contained guest house with its own street entrance and a dedicated private outdoor area, offering a quiet sanctuary within the Costa Vicentina Natural Park. The Lodge is set within a spacious 1,800m² estate comprised of three homes: the Lodge, one other 2-bedroom home (Yucca Garden Villa), and one private residence.

The Lodge Interiors
The space is bright, well-illuminated, and features a beautiful garden view.

- Natural Cooling: Located just 1km from the shore, the Lodge benefits from the Atlantic’s cooling breezes. The Western Algarve remains significantly cooler than the south coast, and with high-grade insulation and cross-ventilation, the interior stays naturally comfortable. A portable fan is also provided.

- Bedroom: 150x200cm bed with an ensuite bathroom and shower.

- Living Area: Features a large dining table that doubles as a workspace, and a sofa that converts into a 140x200cm bed.

- Kitchen: A well-equipped kitchen featuring a 4-ring induction hob, microwave/oven combo, fridge/freezer, kettle, toaster, and coffee machine.

- Work-Ready: High-speed 150Mbps Starlink with a robust mesh Wi-Fi network throughout the unit. An ergonomic office chair is usually available (upon request).

Sustainability
We are Biosphere Committed and operate as an energy-positive property. Our integrated solar panel and battery system, along with high-efficiency water heating, ensures we produce more energy than we consume for over two-thirds of the year. The gardens are maintained using phreatic water pumped via solar energy.

Family Amenities
We are very well-suited for a couple with a baby or young child. To make your stay easier, we provide a travel cot, high chair, and a baby bathtub.

Outdoor Living
Your private garden area includes a dining table, outdoor sofa, and sun loungers. Guests also have shared access to the large swimming pool and the central lawn area, which are shared between the three homes on the estate. This central garden also features a heated outdoor shower.

Good to Know

- Easy, free street parking is available directly in front of your entrance.

- Laundromat: While an in-unit washer is not available, there are several convenient laundromats nearby in Vales and also in Aljezur at the supermarket.

- Beach Essentials: We provide a sun umbrella and can usually offer a baby beach tent and some child wetsuits on request. Beach towels are available for an extra charge.

Private & Shared Spaces
Yucca Garden Lodge is located on an 1,800m² estate. Guests enjoy a completely private unit with its own street entrance and a dedicated private outdoor garden and dining area.

Shared Facilities & Hours:
You have shared access to the large swimming pool, the central garden area, and the heated outdoor shower.

- Access Hours: These shared areas are available for use from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM daily.

- Usage: These facilities are shared with one other 2-bedroom holiday home and a private residence. Guests should expect to encounter other residents in these common areas.

Exclusions:
To maintain privacy for all residents, the pergola and BBQ facilities adjacent to the larger main residence are for private use only and are not available for guest use.

Security & Cameras:
For your safety and property security, the street entrances are monitored by cameras. These are the only cameras located on the property; there is no surveillance within the guest units or the private garden areas.

Parking:
Free, easy street parking is available directly in front of your private entrance.

Other things to note
Transportation:
To fully explore the Costa Vicentina Natural Park, we highly recommend having a car or motorcycle. Public transportation in this rural area is very limited and not practical for reaching the various beaches and trailheads.

The Property Dog:
We have a friendly, child-safe dog living on the property. While the dog is gentle, guests should be comfortable with a pet presence in the shared garden areas.

Free and easy street parking is available directly in front of your private entrance gate.

Sustainability & Resources:
As part of our Biosphere Commitment, we encourage guests to be mindful of water and energy usage. Our systems are high-efficiency, and we appreciate your support in maintaining our energy-positive status.

Regional Context:
We are located in a protected Natural Park. We ask guests to respect the local environment, particularly when hiking, by staying on marked trails to protect the endemic flora.
