Tucked away at the end of a dirt (sometimes snowy 😉) two-track in the Pere Marquette State Forest, this sweet little hideaway sits right on Spider Lake—truly off the beaten path with no close neighbors in sight. Ready for some serious R & R?

Nightly stays are available in winter, fall, and spring, while summer is Sunday-to-Sunday and comes with a pontoon boat to help you cruise, float, and soak up lake life.

The cottage rests on a quiet bay of all-sports Spider Lake in Grand Traverse County. Out here, you’ll feel delightfully in the middle of nowhere
 yet Traverse City is an easy drive away when adventure (or coffee) calls.

Bring everything you need—you may not want to leave once you arrive. But if hunger strikes, Peegeo’s Restaurant is nearby with a big, crowd-pleasing menu.

Traverse City offers plenty to explore if you’re feeling social, but fair warning: the peace and quiet might keep you lakeside. ❄ Winter guests should bring a 4x4, as lake-effect snow likes to pop in and say hello!

I"m a widow now and ready to slow down ?? .. not quite yet !! . You will find be bouncing around the lake in my Jeep, or floating in the middle of it on a boat. Wilkins Landing on Spider Lake is on Google Maps - take a look but they think the cottage is on the left side of the road, when in fact it is on the right side of the road ( which is the lake side) !
