The Grotto at Gamble Branch - Cloudland

Come for a romantic getaway and fall in love with the forest and creek while exploring clearly marked trails through our 15 acres of mountain top magic. The house is tiny, but surprisingly roomy with a full size bathroom. fully equipped kitchen and cozy bedroom. The place is trimmed with wood details, stone countertops and a beautifully tiled bathroom. All living spaces have sliding glass doors that exit onto the oversized porch for observing the creek. Gamble Branch flaunts dam ruins that create a small waterfall in view of the porch. The Grotto is the name for the natural stone slabs, stacked as if they were intended to be stairs, that lead down to a clear pool at the foot of the riffles. A small spring runs across the lowest of these rocks before tumbling over the edge to add to the flowing waters. The sound of water rushing over the rocks is a soothing accompaniment to a hot cup of coffee in the morning.
