The space
We know it's not always easy to gather a large group at short notice, so we occasionally we split the larger 5 bedroom home in two apartments These rare opportunities typically become available within the off peak seasons.

The Apartment at Pant Golau House (meaning “Valley of Light”) centres around a beautiful, light filled open plan kitchen, dining, and living area of over 65m². This interior offers a contemporary, stylish interpretation of the original 1970s features.
A fantastic wood burner makes for cosy evenings, while sliding doors open onto the balcony for warmer days. The kitchen is fully equipped with modern, high spec appliances, including a dishwasher, oven, microwave, cooler, and washing machine.
The apartment option includes two bedrooms with their own recently refurbished bathrooms and a small single room.

Upstairs, off the enclosed hallway, is the main bathroom and a delightful double bedroom with built in storage cupboards. the single is here as well and is the perfect arrangement for small families.

Downstairs, beneath the lounge, is a newly refurbished and spacious bedroom (17.5m²), converted from the former garage. It features a king size bed with bedside lighting, an IKEA wardrobe, and a desk, with additional space suitable for a child’s sleeping area by request. This room is opposite a second bathroom with a large shower and colourful décor, (• if you are happy to share one bathroom we can open up the twin room upstairs instead )

Outside, the house is set within generous grounds, offering plenty of space to relax, explore, and enjoy nature. The grounds feature a variety of spaces, including a woodland area with a stream and a charming overgrown Victorian folly, adding a touch of mystery, character, and welcome shade. There are also wildlife-friendly areas, an open lawn, and a games area. Numerous spots for outdoor dining and evening drinks can be found throughout the grounds, including a fire pit area, and seating on the patios and balconies, ensuring something for everyone to enjoy.

The location is delightful, apart from the views across open fields, the marina, and the coast, is just a short walk away. There is a wonderful array of local wildlife, particularly birdlife.

Despite its peaceful setting, the house is conveniently located—just five minutes’ walk to the station and coast road, and a little further to Llanbedr village with its fine shops and eateries.

Harlech Castle, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is only three miles away, along with the renowned Royal St David’s Golf Club (ranked among the UK’s top 100 courses). Llanbedr is also the gateway to the Rhinogydd mountains, with excellent walks directly from the house. Nearby highlights include the valleys of Cwm Bychan and Cwm Nantcol (with the beautiful Nantcol Falls), as well as the Celtic rainforest at Coed Crafnant.
The local beach is a must—just a 15 minute walk away. Harlech Beach, part of the Wales Coast Path, is also close by.
The train service is a fantastic way to explore the coast, with easy access to places like Barmouth and Harlech. Snowdonia’s mountains are also on your doorstep, perfect for exploring by car or on foot.
With the wonderful Welsh coastline on one side and mountains on the other, this family and pet friendly home offers a truly special place to relax.

Guest access
When you book the apartment, it feels very much like booking the whole house. You will have exclusive access to the large living areas, the beautiful garden, and all of the bedrooms included in your reservation.

To help keep prices competitive, we simply close off the annexe and any bedrooms that are not being used. If your plans change and you'd like to add extra guests, we can usually open additional rooms for an agreed supplementary fee.

One advantage of this arrangement is that you can enjoy the space and character of a large country house at a price that is often significantly lower than renting the entire property. This can offer particularly good value outside the main holiday season.

Please note that, due to the size of the property, the cleaning fee (£110) is higher than for a typical apartment. However, the longer you stay, the better value this becomes when spread across your stay.

Other things to note
To provide flexibility and great value for smaller groups, Pant Golau House is available both as a five-bedroom house and as a smaller apartment option during off-peak periods. Should your plans change after booking, we are usually happy to open additional bedrooms or upgrade you to the full house for an agreed supplement.
