Bug spray is recommended, especially in warmer months. When hiking near Beavers Bend or in the forest, long socks and proper footwear are advised due to poison ivy/oak and local wildlife. Keep doors and windows closed when not in use.
Pollen season starts as early as the end of February through the mid May. Pollen releases quickly and consistently being in the forest. This means the exterior will have pollen accumulate very quickly.
