Our home provides you with pure privacy. We have a special spot at the end of the road with unreal views of the mountains with no traffic. The only noises are the sounds of nature. The property is 10 acres, 5 minutes from the entrance to Mesa Verde National Park and Phil's World Trail system. You are perfectly positioned to explore Mancos, Cortez, Dolores and Mesa Verde. We are also a perfect jumping off point for trips to Durango (45 min away), Moab (2hrs away) and Telluride (1.5hrs away).
The house has funky decor with vibrant southwestern colors, interesting art and comfortable furnishings. It is a serene and calming place - a place for making memories. As you enter through the 2 car garage and the office you will pass the spare room and enter the main living room. There you will see the panorama of the majestic La Plata mountain range through the picture windows and can immediately lounge on the leather couches admiring the mountain view. Mt. Hesperus, standing 13,237ft, is the most prominent peak on the left. It's treeless summit is snowcapped most of the year.
Colors at sunrise always amaze. The purple, pink and blue hues at sunset are infinitely remarkable. With a steaming cup of delicious coffee or exotic tea from our wide selection, bathe in sunrays from the couch and listen to nothing but nature. After years of calling this place home, I am still surprised by the grandeur of these views. As you pass through the kitchen, fully stocked with everything needed to prep a world class dinner, you reach the back door leading to the Jacuzzi Hot Tub. Next, you're soaking in the hot waters listening to music and gazing at the high peaks. We also support local, regenerative agriculture and organic farming whenever we can . We offer an organic queen mattress in the spare room and a Colorado made king in the master for the best imaginable night sleep.
