Homestead Hideaway | Peaceful 16 Acres | Fire Pit - Canonsburg

Our private getaway on 16-acres is perfect for groups. Our rustic farmhouse is just 30 minutes outside of Pittsburgh - perfect if you’re in town for an event, a game, or you simply want some space to relax and recharge. Enjoy our fire pit and finished basement featuring a bar and pool table. Skip the hotels and enjoy tons of space, privacy, and comfort.

The space
Located on the same road as Canonsburg Lake, our home offers a rare combination of rustic charm, privacy, and convenience. It has been lived in and loved by my family for many years. It’s clean, comfortable, welcoming, & perfectly imperfect!

•Complimentary pack n play available for use (will provide sheets washed in unscented detergent).

All of our linens, including blankets/comforters, are washed in between guests in unscented detergent.
Each bedroom has a luggage rack, charging ports for your phones, a fan, air purifier and sound machine.

Body wash, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, and make up wipes (sulfate/paraben/phthalate free) provided for your convenience.

Our kitchen is full stocked with everything you might need to prepare a meal, host a gathering, or do some baking.
We have plastic dishes, kid size silverware, and sippy cups for your little ones. A high chair is available if you request within 48 hours of check in.

We provide a start up roll of paper towels, bathroom tissue, dish soap, hand soap, dishwasher pods & laundry pods (unscented).

If you are in the mood for grilling, outside on our patio you will find a charcoal grill and black stone!
Use our fire pit to roast some hot dogs and marshmallows over a campfire (fire starter, wood, lighter, and sticks provided)!

Our basement has a bar with seating for 7, and a pub table with seating for 2. If you need more seating please let me know at the time of booking and we can have tables and chairs set up for you at check in! You will also find a beautiful pool table, (magnetic) darts, a Tv (with a Wii), a tv above the bar, an electronic keyboard (piano), karaoke machine, and tons of board games to keep your family entertained. FREE NETFLIX & ANGEL included.
We have a very small area of the basement sectioned off for our family’s candle business so that part is inaccessible by guests.
There is a bathroom with shower in the basement.

Outside you will have access to all 16 acres. Feel free to explore the woods or let your kids run in the wide open pastures. We have a lot of wildlife that visits us, including deer who will come within a few feet of you if you are quiet and still! Relax or take a nap in our hammock chairs hanging in our beautiful cherry tree!

I want you to feel comfortable and taken care of during your stay. I live about a mile away, so I’m nearby if you need anything at all — but I respect your privacy, so you can enjoy your time without interruption.

Service animals are welcome.
The service animal must provide a disabled person a specific task, be housebroken, and be under the control of the disabled person at all times.

Guest access
Guests will have access to our entire house, with the exception of a very small section of the basement, the loft, & the garage

This is our family home, and although we don’t live here anymore, it is very special to us. We kindly ask that every guest respect the house and property, and treat it as if it was your own.
