Happy Home Guest Suite - minutes to TIEC & FENCE - Columbus

Columbus Cottage provides a 560 sqft private guest suite with comfy furnishings & en suite amenities in my downtown Columbus home. Home is over 1,200sq.ft. plus outdoor living areas.

Safe neighborhood just minutes away from health centers for those traveling here for work and close to local horse show facilities. Just minutes to Tryon Int'l Equestrian Center, Harmon Field and FENCE (Foothills Equestrian Nature Center).

The space

This guest suite in my home provides a comfortable, private retreat for travelers.

This dedicated space includes a living room, sleeping area with queen bed/comfy luxury linens; walk-in closet with dry kitchenette; a large bath with jetted tub; fast wi-fi; smart TV with tons of stations and streaming TV options --- all to make this your home away from home.

As an experienced host I've brought the furniture, furnishings, amenities and hospitality I've been known for at my former location --Happy Home Farm (reviews posted here from prior to August 2019 are from my former location) to my new setting 'in town' ---Happy Home Guest Suite @ Columbus Cottage.

We are in the process of ongoing upgrades....gardens and outdoor living spaces are being added; ....we are continuously improving the property to make your current and future stays more and more enjoyable...

Garage is now available for guest use; fits one car. Attached to home via screened in porch, this provides additional security for guests who may keep late or early hours for work or horse shows. Garage remote will be provided for your use and keyless entry has been installed.

Ideal for 1-2 people.

Monthly discount rate is based upon 28 days. For longer stays special pricing may be offered. Please 'contact host' with info on your expected length of stay and etc to chat and discuss. By booking you acknowledge that no length of stay constitutes 'residency'.

We are directly across the street from the Rescue Squad and near to the fire station so we occasionally hear sirens. They don't tend to last long...

Note- for longer term stays cleaning of the suite by host or hosts' staff is required each week; you will be consulted re the cleaning schedule to ensure the date/time is mutually convenient. Cleaning fees are now included in the stay fee.

We now have a camera to allow us to keep an eye on visiting wildlife. Guests may be visible on the camera when entering/exiting the screened in porch to the yard or when traversing the back yard.

Guest access

Entering via the kitchen, your suite is just a few feet away down the hall. just past the main living area.

The suite is dedicated for your comfort and privacy. While the main living room, kitchen, laundry and outdoor spaces are also available for your use they are shared with me.

I, too, have a private suite so depending upon how much interaction you wish we may or may not bump into each other much :).....I'm happy to interact as much or as little as you wish but am always available by phone or txt to help with anything you may need.

The kitchen is stocked with spices and such if you wish to cook....there's an eating area that overlooks the shade garden and water feature - the adjacent screened in porch overlooks the large yard.....watch for visiting deer!

Decks will be added in the backyard as soon as we can - for now you can sit on the front porch to lounge a bit or on the screened in porch (to be converted to a 3 season room at our earliest!!).....when decks are added we'll also have raised beds with veggies/herbs and you are welcome to pick your own if you're in the mood to cook.

Your well-behaved dog is welcome (please clean up after him/her) and I'm happy to pooch-sit while you are out and about, if you wish. Crate your dog if you leave/him her alone in the suite. Keep your pup leashed when s/he is not in the yard's fenced in area.

NOTE: Security deposit collected will be immediately refunded after inspection providing no damage has occurred in the suite or on the property. If damage occurs during your stay, please alert host right away so whatever happened can be taken care of. We 'get' that things happen.....normal wear and tear is expected....if something is chargeable, we'll discuss it/don't worry!
