Welcome to our charming guestroom suite with private bathroom in our historic Brooklyn home. We're located in Prospect Lefferts Gardens, just steps from Prospect Park, the Brooklyn Botanic Garden, and the Brooklyn Museum. Walk to great local restaurants, cafes, and shops, or hop on the subway for a quick ride to Barclays Center, Kings Theatre, or Manhattan. Perfect for solo travelers, couples, business guests, or a parent with child.
The space
Your private room, private bathroom and separate entrance are located on the garden-level (ground floor) of our one-family home, offering a rare level of privacy that’s hard to find in the city these days. With your own separate entrance and a floor completely apart from where we spend most of our day-to-day time, the space often feels more like a private studio than just a room.
The hallway on your floor—which we need access to in order to reach our the backyard and storage—is shared, but we’re incredibly mindful of your comfort and privacy. We typically pass through only during the day and keep it to a minimum. Most guests find they have the space almost entirely to themselves and enjoy a peaceful, private stay.

Check-In Details:
As your trip approaches, you’ll receive a few automated emails with important information about the space, check-in process, and house rules. The check-in memo will also include short videos showing how to use the lockbox and unlock the doors to ensure a smooth, seamless arrival. Please take a moment to review them before your stay.
Guests typically check in independently, but if I happen to be home and hear you arrive, I may come downstairs to say a quick hello and personally welcome you. 😊 Occasionally we may cross paths in the shared hallway, though we do our best to give guests plenty of privacy and limit how often we pass through. Sometimes that means we don’t have a chance to meet in person—but we live upstairs, so please don’t hesitate to reach out if you need anything during your stay.
Other things to note
Sleeping & Comfort:
The sofa sleeper is 65 inches long and best suited for a shorter guest or child. It has a firm feel, and the center support bar is noticeable to some when lying in the middle—guests are generally more comfortable sleeping on one side or the other. For added flexibility, an air mattress is available and can even be placed on top of the sofa if preferred.
Temperature & Climate Comfort:
New York City temperatures fluctuate throughout the year, and it can be a challenge to keep the entire house evenly balanced. For your comfort, your room includes a portable window AC unit, a fan, and a safe Dyson space heater—available for your use anytime, in any season. You’re also welcome to open the window if you enjoy fresh air.
We’ve found that guests are often pleased to know they can easily adjust the temperature in their room to their liking using any of these devices, based on their personal comfort.
A Little Tip for Your Peace of Mind:
💛I always encourage guests to consider adding Airbnb’s travel insurance. It’s a small extra cost, but it can really make a difference if something unexpected comes up—like a change in plans, illness, or an accident. Since accommodation costs aren’t refundable past the agreed-upon terms, having travel insurance helps protect your investment and gives you that extra peace of mind while planning your stay. 💛
