Artists jungle dome close to beaches and waterfall
Green Moon Lodge is a stunning jungle dome in Montezuma that will take your breath away! Built and decorated with artwork done by local artists, this is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the surrounding jungle.
The bedroom has large, round windows to lounge in and a roof that opens for stargazing!! The bathroom is magical. The spacious living room and kitchen open up to a lush tropical garden with monkeys passing by. Located 3 minutes uphill from Montezuma center and beaches.

I am excited to welcome you to this unique vacation home. The domes are built with aircrete (a special concrete-foam mix) and we made everything ourselves, including each of the 1200 blocks needed for the domes.
I have beautifully decorated the house with artwork done by myself, friends, and local artists. This is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the surrounding jungle in a very special and unique setting.
The three domes are connected by arches and comprise of one bedroom, one bathroom, and a kitchen/living room area which opens up to a tropical garden facing the jungle.
The BEDROOM is equipped with a queen sized bed and has large, round windows to lounge in and enjoy jungle views. All windows have mosquito screens. During the dry season you can open the roof and enjoy STARGAZING DIRECTLY FROM BED!
The BATHROOM is designed uniquely, equipped with a hot water shower and towels at your disposal. There is also a washing machine you can use.
The central dome is the largest one and offers a generous space for the kitchen and living room. The KITCHEN is fully equipped with a fridge/freezer, stove, blender, and coffee maker.
The spacious LIVING ROOM can be used to do yoga, meditate, or just relax and gaze into the jungle.
There are 2 FANS in the dome and the house has great air flow and insulation.

The GARDEN has been planted with a range of tropical plants. There is a seating area outside which is especially lovely in the late afternoons. If you want to relax in the shade, there is a hammock under the trees. Monkeys are frequent visitors and the flowers attract beautiful butterflies and humming birds.

LOCATION: The house is located only a 3 minute drive uphill from Montezuma center in a quiet, relaxing neighborhood. By foot it's a 20 minute walk. A taxi costs 6 USD and the bus passes by.
There is plenty of space for PARKING on the property.
Mobile network reception is very good at the house and fiber optic WiFi is available.

It's a wonderful place to connect to nature every day. The rivers and waterfalls, beaches, listening to the sounds of the jungle, and watching the many birds, butterflies, and monkeys in the garden.

From the property it's a 20-minute walk downhill to the center of Montezuma and its beaches. A Taxi costs about $6.
The local bus from Cobano to Montezuma passes every two hours, about 200 meters from the house (on the main road).
Having your own transportation is recommended but not necessary. I can help you with reservations for a rental car, ATV or scooter/motorbike.

By plane: From San Jose or Liberia, take a domestic flight to Cobano with FlySansa or Green Airways, then it's 10 minutes by car or taxi. Budget car rental has an office at Cobano airport.
By car: From San Jose, drive to Puntarenas (1h30), take the ferry to Paquera (1h15), and then continue to Montezuma (1 hr). From Liberia it's a 4h drive.
Public transport: Take the direct bus from San Jose with Transportes Cobano. The bus gets on the ferry in Puntarenas and then continues. Total travel time 6 hours.
Shuttle: There are daily shuttle services from many locations in Costa Rica available.
