It is located about 5 km from the North Sea beach. The pretty seaside resort Callantsoog is worth a visit, also the seaside resorts Sint Maartenszee and Petten are recommendable.
The town of Schagen is 5 km away. Here you will find many shops and restaurants. Enjoy a drink on the market place with a view of the large church. During the summer there are events every Thursday, you can watch a parade with music, traditional costumes and old floats. The city of Alkmaar is 20 km from the holiday home. The city centre has some beautiful monuments, like the city scales, the water tower and the town hall. During your holiday you should definitely visit the cheese market of Alkmaar, which is held from April to September, always on Fridays.
