Welcome to Tanrallt, a charming four-storey stone townhouse in Dolgellau, managed by Salt & City Stays. Set in an elevated spot, the house offers breathtaking views from every bedroom and the living room, stretching across the town to the mountains beyond.
The space is thoughtfully laid out across four floors, with a lovely terraced outdoor area – perfect for relaxing with a drink or enjoying alfresco meals. Inside, you’ll find the warmth and charm of traditional Victorian architecture – think wooden floors, cornicing, picture rails, exposed stone walls, and slate tiles – blended with stylish, eclectic interiors that add a little drama and luxury. Two complimentary parking permits are provided for the central town car park just a few minutes' walk away, giving you convenient and stress-free parking for two cars throughout your stay.
Every room has been lovingly curated with comfy furnishings, soft lighting, bold colours, and playful décor pieces that bring the place to life. The result? A cosy, indulgent escape where rich textures, vibrant tones, and elegant touches like colourful linens, statement artworks, and lush houseplants come together to create a unique home-from-home.
You'll have access to a large, fully equipped kitchen and dining area, separate utility room, a generous living space, and a welcoming entrance hall. There are three bedrooms – one with a super-king bed and two with king-size beds – plus two bathrooms, including one with a roll-top bath and walk-in shower. A special highlight is the third-floor landing, where you’ll find a cosy reading nook and a collection of books and games to enjoy during your stay.
Ground Floor
On the ground floor, the heart of the house is the kitchen and dining area, with solid slate floors and a gorgeous range gas cooker. The kitchen is stocked with everything you might need: an integrated fridge, dishwasher, built-in microwave, espresso maker, blender, toaster, cafetiere, and all the pots, pans and bakeware you could need.
From here, step out onto the lower terrace. A few steps up takes you to the upper patio with outdoor dining furniture – a lovely spot for a sunny breakfast or evening meal.
First Floor
The main entrance leads into a bright and spacious hallway and a lobby with a cloakroom (W.C. and wash basin), radiator with bench seating and shoe storage, and plenty of hooks for wet coats. Through the hallway, you’ll enter the living room.
Living Room
This space is a treat. Stretch out on the big sofa or curl up in the bay window chair and take in the views. There's a 60-inch Sony smart TV where you can log in to your favourite streaming accounts, and a wood-burning stove set in a traditional fireplace for cosy evenings in.
There are 2 TVs at the house, one in the lounge and one in the master bedroom; both can be connected to streaming services used with your own account/subscriptions but please note terrestrial TV channels are not available.
Second Floor
Upstairs, the second floor is home to the master bedroom and a separate shower room with W.C.
Master Bedroom
Sleep soundly in the super-king bed, and enjoy a wall-mounted TV, built-in wardrobes, and a beautiful feature fireplace.

Climb the final flight to the third floor, where you’ll find:

A king-size bed, exposed stone wall, large wardrobe, and generous bedside tables make this room restful and stylish.
Library Nook
On the galleried landing offered shelves full of books, games, and puzzles – help yourself!

Another king-size room with two large dressers, side tables, and a writing table – great for remote work during your stay.
Main Bathroom
A luxurious roll-top bath, oversized walk-in rain shower, vanity unit with mirror and lighting, and W.C. make this a beautiful space to unwind.
Outside
The front garden is arranged over two levels and can be accessed from the kitchen or the street-level entrance a little way up the hill.
Guests have exclusive access to the entire property, including the private courtyard.

A car is recommended for exploring the wider Snowdonia region. The property includes a parking permit for a nearby car park (5-minute walk). Local bus routes and scenic walking trails provide alternative ways to discover the area.
- Two parking permits (to park two cars) are provided for the local car park in the town centre. These permits are also valid for many car parks in the county. There is space to load and unload directly outside the property.
- Pets are welcome at Tanrallt. There is no charge for bringing your dog to the house, however the second pet will be at a charge of £35 to allow for extra cleaning.
- We allow a maximum of 2 pets at the property (for 2+ pets, please get in touch with us before booking).
- Access to Netflix and other streaming services is available through your own account. Please note terrestrial TV channels are not available.
