Step back into a simpler pace of life in our charming historic log cabin, originally built around 1910. With its original logs still visible throughout portions of the home, this cabin has the warmth and character you just can’t recreate in a newer build—along with plenty of space and modern conveniences to make your stay comfortable.

Over the years, the original cabin has been expanded to provide additional bedrooms, bathrooms, and living space while still keeping the cozy cottage character of the original home. It’s a wonderful place to slow down, spend time together, and enjoy a peaceful getaway.

Cozy Spaces to Gather

The main living area is the heart of the original cabin and features a wood-burning fireplace—perfect for chilly evenings and relaxing after a day out. There’s comfortable seating with a sofa, loveseat, and two recliners, giving everyone room to settle in.

The home also has gas heat, so you won’t have to rely on the fireplace to stay warm.

Upstairs, the spacious loft offers even more room to spread out. One side of the loft has two twin beds, while the other side has two queen beds. There’s also a small living area with a loveseat and two recliners, making the loft a great hangout space for older kids, teens, or additional family members.

The Comforts of Home

The cabin is fully stocked to make your stay as easy and comfortable as possible. Whether you’re planning a weekend getaway or staying a little longer, you’ll have the conveniences you need without having to pack the whole house.

A full-size washer and dryer are available inside the cabin, which is especially handy for longer stays, families, or anyone coming in after a day of outdoor adventures.

For warmer weather, there is a window air-conditioning unit upstairs and a portable air-conditioning unit downstairs. Because this is a historic cabin, it does not have the same type of whole-house central air-conditioning system you might find in a newer home.

Historic Character + Cottage Charm

We’ve tried to preserve the personality of the cabin rather than turn it into something overly modern. The decor is comfortable, casual, and cottage-inspired, complementing the original logs and historic character of the home.

This isn’t a cookie-cutter vacation rental. The age and history of the cabin are part of what make it special. If you love old homes, exposed logs, fireplaces, cozy rooms, and places with a story, we think you’ll feel right at home here.

Outside, the cabin sits on a peaceful piece of property with plenty of breathing room, making it a relaxing place to get away from the noise and busyness of everyday life.

With multiple sleeping areas and two separate spaces for relaxing, the cabin works especially well for families and groups who want to spend time together without feeling like everyone is on top of one another.

Enjoy your morning coffee in the quiet, spend the day exploring, gather around the fireplace in the evening, or head upstairs for a movie, game, or conversation. This is the kind of place where you can settle in and make yourself at home.

A Few Things to Know

Because this is a historic cabin with a loft and multiple levels, there are stairs inside the home. Families with babies or toddlers should keep this in mind when deciding whether the cabin is a good fit.

The home does not have permanent baby gates installed. Guests traveling with very young children are welcome to bring their own portable baby gates or other child-safety equipment if needed. As with any historic home, parents should evaluate the layout based on their own child’s age and mobility.

We consider those details part of its charm, but we want guests to know that this is an authentic historic cabin rather than a newly built luxury cabin designed to look old.
