Bright, fully furnished 1-bedroom apartment in Residencial Bella Vista, Costambar — just a 3-minute walk to the beach and an easy drive to Puerto Plata, Sosua and Cabarete.

The apartment is on the second floor of a quiet, gated community with gardens, and it opens onto a private balcony with ocean views.

The shared rooftop terrace has a pool looking out over both the Atlantic and the mountains, with the Christ statue on Mount Isabel de Torres in view. You can watch the sunrise and the sunset from the same terrace, and on clear nights the stars are remarkable — it is the reason most guests choose this place.

SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS

The apartment sleeps up to 4: a double bed in the bedroom and a sofa bed in the living room. Please note there is one bedroom and one bathroom, so it works best for a couple, or for a couple travelling with two others who don't mind the open-plan layout.

THE AREA

Costambar is one of the most established beach communities on the North Coast, popular with North American and European long-stay visitors. The beach, restaurants and shops are within walking distance. Puerto Plata city centre and the cable car up Mount Isabel de Torres are about 10 minutes by car; Sosua is 20 minutes and Cabarete 25.

IDEAL FOR

Snowbirds, expats, remote workers and couples looking for a quiet, sunny base for a week, a month or a whole season.

RATES

Low season (August–November): US$375 per week / US$700 per month
High season (December, March, April): US$625 per week / US$1,200 per month
Long stays (3 months or more): US$950 per month

Minimum stay: 1 week.
Cleaning fee: US$35 per stay.
Guests 3 and 4: US$10 per night each.
Electricity is billed separately, based on the actual meter reading.

PAYMENT

Payment by bank transfer or cash. I have a US bank account, so guests in the United States can pay by simple domestic transfer — no international fees, no delays. International transfers are also accepted. We do not accept PayPal.

SECURITY DEPOSIT

A refundable security deposit is required: US$200 for weekly stays, US$300 for stays of one month or more.

It is payable in cash on arrival or by bank transfer before check-in. It is returned by bank transfer within 7 days of check-out, minus the electricity consumed during the stay (measured on the meter) and the cost of any damage. Normal wear and tear is not deducted.
