About this place
Casa Bella Vista
type of building: Multiple-family dwelling. size of property: 120m². year of construction: 1965.Spacious top floor apartment in a local 3 story walk up 1960s local apartment building with a gorgeous view over Lago Maggiore and the alps. 15-20 minutes by foot from center of Stresa. Wake up to the sound of birds away from traffic. Peaceful local environment nestled at the edge of a village on top of the lake. Close to town yet far from the touristic bustle.
Renovated in 2009 and environmental updated (new windows, insultation, heating) in 2024, it has all needed facilities including a full kitchen, large living room, dining area, 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms with showers (of which one in-suite) and parking space for one car (see floorplan in the photos section). The 10 m long balcony provides great views of Lago Maggiore (hill-side location) and the alps in the distance and offers a comfortable setting for dining al fresco. The living room has a fireplace, Satellite TV and a DVD player. Free mobile wifi is now offered making internet a truly mobile experience, even when you are on the road.
Distance to Malpensa airport is 40 minutes and about 50 minutes to Milan with its numerous cultural offerings. Turin, another major historic center of northern Italy is 1.5 hours. There is a direct hourly train (45 minutes) from Stresa train station (about 2 km from the apartment) to Milan. There is one parking space next to the building as well as on street parking about 200ms away. You can walk to the center of Stresa in about 15 minutes and bit more on the way back as part of the way is steep given the apartments location on the hill side. There is also a local bus leaving from town and to town but with non frequent schedule. A car is not a must but advisable
