Getting around
Set your GPS or map app to 415 Tonic Ridge Road, Kingston. Once you turn onto Couer d’Alene River Road, you may lose cell reception, and then there will be intermittent coverage. Once at the cabins, Verizon and AT&T have good cellular reception, but spotty mobile data reception.
DIRECTIONS
• From I-90, take exit 43 to Kingston; turn north onto Couer d’Alene River Road and follow for 1.5 miles to Bear Creek Road (a few hundred feet past the Snake Pit tavern).
• Turn right onto Bear Creek Road and follow for 2.2 miles to Reynolds Road. (Please maintain a speed of 20-25 mph. This road is narrow at times, there is bumpy asphalt in places, blind curves, and occasional wildlife in the road.)
• Turn left at the “Y” where you see the “Dead End” sign, onto Reynolds Road, and follow for .3 miles to our Garage/Shop and the base of Tonic Ridge Road (the tan metal building is our Garage/Shop and is located at 246 Reynolds Road…extra vehicles and trailers may park here). House Rules
Quiet Hours: 10 PM – 7 AM
We love a good campfire singalong, but our neighbors (and the local wildlife) appreciate a little peace and quiet after dark. Please keep noise levels down between 10 PM and 7 AM so everyone—humans and critters alike—can enjoy a restful night in the mountains.
Four-Legged Guests
We welcome well-behaved dogs! Just give us a heads-up when booking so we know how many paws will be on-site. If your pup is a shedder, a couch surfer, or an enthusiastic greeter, please plan accordingly.
Fire Safety First
Campfires are for s’mores, stories, and stargazing—not for bonfires. Please keep flames manageable and fully extinguish fires before calling it a night.
Mountain Road Etiquette
Our winding mountain road is part of the adventure! Drive slow, stay alert for oncoming vehicles, and use the pullouts when needed. Whoever can safely stop should yield—because no one likes an unexpected game of mountain road chicken.
Thanks for respecting the space and helping us keep Bear Creek Cabins a peaceful and welcoming retreat for all! ️
