About this place

Dark Skies Brecon Beacons Holiday Cottage. Peaceful location, panoramic views. All the comforts of home including log burner, EV charger & good WiFi.

Aberyscir Coach House is in the hills of the Brecon Beacons South Wales. It was the coach house for the rector of Aberyscir and sits behind our Victorian Rectory. Now converted into a comfortable single storey holiday cottage for two.

Aberyscir is a tiny hamlet just 2.5 miles outside Brecon, your nearest town for shopping and restaurants. There are uninterrupted views of Pen Y Fan, our tallest mountain, and the surrounding range. The river Yscir runs just below the property and you are surrounded by our fields where native breed sheep graze in the summer months. Our chickens give you free range eggs which form part of your welcome pack. Cradoc golf club is a short distance away and trout fising is available on the Yscir.

The Brecon Beacons National Park can offer a wide range of activites and places to visit for everyone young or old. To mention just a few:

Walk in the hills or stroll along the Brecon and Monmouth Canal.

Visit a coal mine or a Welsh gold mine.

Try riding, canoeing, caving or star gazing, the park has Dark Skies Reserve status.

Visit gardens, houses, castles or monuments all with a Welsh myth or legend to tell.

Food, literature, music or agricultural festivals happen throughout the year.

Try a wide range of restaurants from the traditional Welsh Sunday roast to the latest prize winning cuisine.

There is a lot of information in the coach house to help you plan your time and as a Brecon Beacons Ambassador I can offer you more information should you need it. My husband is a volunteer warden in the park and knows quite a few of the paths as he helps maintain them and can advise on the most suitable routes.

Owner

English
Hello I am Valerie the owner operator of Aberyscir Coach House.
Having travelled the world for years we settled in the Brecon Beacons about 10 years ago. We fell in love with our Victorian rectory that has spectacular views of the mountains. I have become a Brecon Beacons Ambassador and my husband Peter a volunteer warden helping to maintain the paths in the park.
We meet all our guests on arrival and are here should you want any help or information. We do have 2 black labradors who also enjoy meeting the guests and the chickens are your neighbours.
