Relax and recharge at our country retreat! We cater to your best vacation with our newly renovated, bright, and cozy home. We’ve upgraded our home and paid attention to the smallest details to provide our guests with a thoughtfully curated vacation experience. Join us for a relaxing and comfortable stay.

We’ve upgraded this great old house with modern amenities including stainless steel appliances, a Nest thermostat, and smart TVs in both the living room and the Kid’s Nook, where you can login to Netflix or Disney on the Roku. For some non-digital down time, we have a collection of board games, puzzles, and a library of books for all ages.

We offer everything needed for a comfortable stay -- fully stocked kitchen complete with dishwasher and coffee makers (K cups or drip), washer and dryer, high quality bedding, and a plush couch. Remote work is made easy with upgraded and reliable high-speed cable internet (400 mb/s), and a desk area in a quiet bedroom.

Our two main bedrooms both have queen-sized beds, and the Kid’s Nook (third bedroom) has two twin-sized beds, plus two fold-out mattresses and two pack ‘n plays for extra kiddies. Outdoors you can relax in our comfy chairs on the front porch or grill on our Char-Griller. Coming soon: firepit and renovated outdoor space.

We are out in the country on over 2 acres, but close to so many activities. The house is located in Shandaken, in the heart of Catskill Park, near the popular town of Phoenicia. We are just a few hundred feet from the world famous, trout-filled Esopus Creek where you can fish or swim to your heart’s content. If you get tired of Phoenicia with its theater and art galleries, it’s only a 20-minute drive to Woodstock, which has excellent restaurants and a thriving live music scene.

For calming activities, we can recommend local spots for yoga, acupuncture, massage, or a spa day. For people looking to ski or snowboard, Hunter Mountain, Belleayre, Windham, and Plattekill ski areas are all close by. Winter enthusiasts can enjoy snow shoeing, cross country skiing, and winter hiking. Year round there are endless hiking and mountain biking options, and in the summer it’s only a few minutes to Belleayre Beach. Afterwards, you can imbibe at the two craft breweries nearby -- Woodstock Brewing and West Kill Brewery.

If shopping is your thing, farm-stands and vintage and antique stores can be found all along Route 28. For foodies, we are close to delicious options including Peekamoose Restaurant and Tap Room, Brio’s Pizzeria, the Pines, the Deer Mountain Inn, the Shandaken Inn, Silvia’s, Cucina, Prospect, Woodnotes Grill, The Red Onion, The Phoenician Steakhouse, Maeve’s Place, Phoenicia Diner and many more.

Notes:

** Our house manager Andréa offers you the option of pre-ordering groceries, supplies, or anything else you might need. Before your arrival she can deliver groceries, firewood, or any other supplies or special treats that you’d like in the house for your visit.

** While the home does have enough beds to comfortably sleep 6 adults, an ideal combination of guests is 4 adults and 4 kids. Maximum adults allowed is 6, maximum guests is 8. Our home runs on a septic system and therefore we must be careful with our water use. The third bedroom is a Kid’s Nook ideally situated for two older kids/teens in the twin beds, and then we have two fold-out mattresses and two pack n plays for younger kids.

** Woodstove is for décor only. It is a non-working fireplace and lighting any sort of fire CAN burn the house down and result in injury or death.

** Well-behaved dogs welcome for a one-time $75 pet fee per dog up to a maximum of 2 dogs. Dogs are not allowed on the furniture and particularly not on the beds. We ask that pet owners clean up after their dogs both inside and outside the house so that we can continue to be a pet friendly home.

** We ask that you don't wear shoes past the mudroom to keep the house clean for everyone.

** Our house runs on well water and does contain sulfur. Although we have a filtration system for drinking and sulfur is not dangerous, there is a smell to the water.

** Disclosure: The exterior of the house is monitored by security cameras to ensure guest and host safety.
