About Katerina

I’m Katerina, a physics professor living in Athens, while also conducting research at CERN in Geneva. A lover of both literature and nature, I’ve always treasured the serene beauty of Zakynthos, and Coralina Cottage holds a very special place in my heart. Coralina Cottage is more than just a vacation rental — it’s my cherished oasis, where I spent all my childhood summers. This cottage has been part of my family history for decades. Its first renovation was lovingly carried out in 1980 by my uncles, to whom I am deeply grateful for passing it down to me. Over time, the house was sadly left uninhabited. Since I can’t be there as often as I’d like, I decided to keep it alive through my guests, allowing others to create joyful memories in a place that has meant so much to me. In 2023, with the precious help of dear friends and the artistic touch of a talented decorator, I began a second renovation — carefully blending traditional Zakynthian details and colors with modern comforts. I hope the result is a space that is bright, airy, cozy, and coastal, reflecting the true spirit of the island. For decades, I invited friends to spend holidays at Coralina, and now I see my guests as an extension of that Hidden hope you arrive as guests but leave as friends, taking with you unforgettable memories of Coralina and the magic of Zakynthos.
