Check-In Instructions - Blue Skies
Check-in is after 4:00 P.M.
- If you arrive early, you may enjoy the dock. Please don’t ask the cleaner for permission to enter the home. You may enter the home after confirming that the cleaner has left, the Rental Agreement has been signed, and payment has been received.
- We love to offer early check-in, if possible, but gratis early check-in is not guaranteed and cannot be requested until two days before check-in. If you want a guarantee of early check-in, we might be able to lock it in with payment of an additional fee.
- Early check-in can rarely, if ever, be offered in-season.
Entry
Two house keys are located in a lock box on the front porch banister. You will receive your personal lock-box code after you pay all fees, provide your guest list, and submit your valid identification. If you can't recall the code, it's often the last four numbers of the telephone number you used for booking.
Notification
- Text Kate at (540) 907-2353 after you arrive and inspect the cottage
- Let me know if anything needs attention
- Confirm that you’ve located:
- Two house keys
- Common area boat pass
- Six remotes (3 on 1st floor & 3 in master)
- Problems at Blue Skies at Lake Anna should be reported to Kate immediately.

Parking and Septic
Do not park or drive on the lawn to the right facing the house to avoid damage to the septic components.
You may park in front of the house, on the narrow strip of lawn to the left facing the house, and in the large front field adjacent to Tall Pines Drive. There is plenty of area to park.
Treat the septic system gently by only flushing or draining natural waste and toilet paper. Blue Skies at Lake Anna does not have a kitchen sink disposal so plan to collect grease and food waste for disposal in the trash.
