Salt of the Earth. Fresh, local, farm to table dining. Dishes are creative and delicious. They have creative cocktails, dynamite bread and live music. Reservations recommended in July and August.

What Not Inn. An old roadhouse that has been around since the 1930's. Great atmosphere and food and live music on the weekends. A local gem!

Blue Goose Cafe. Great local diner. Staff is always friendly and the food is great. Blue Goose Cafe


The Southerner, Saugatuck. Southern cuisine made with love, but elevated. Biscuits are unbelievable!

Bowdie's Chop House, Saugatuck. Think of your favorite steak house. Now go to Bowdies. Reservations recommended in July and August.

Pizza Mambo, Douglas. Our go to pizza place. Hand-tossed pizza and fresh salads.

Everyday People, Douglas. A fabulous local restaurant. Known for a creative menu and attention to detail. Try and stop in, if you get a chance.

The Kirby, Douglas. Historic building makes for a great atmosphere. Enjoy a late afternoon cocktail and appetizers or stay for dinner.

South Haven

Bunde's Bakery and Cafe. Handcrafted pastries that are delicious and worth the trip. Good eats for sure! Bunde's Bakery and Cafe

Phoenix Street Cafe, South Haven. Creative menu and a great place for breakfast.

Cafe Julia, South Haven. Lovely Cafe with delicious coffee and sandwiches. Great place to rest and grab a cup of coffee and a treat.

American Legion, South Haven. Not a normal restaurant suggestion, but they serve breakfast on Sunday's, April - October. Great when you have to get back home, but don't want to mess with the kitchen. Plus you get to meet some local heroes! American Legion Post #49

Taste, South Haven. Small plates, tapas style. Creative macaroni and cheese and a full bar.

Sophie's Steakhouse, South Haven. Midwestern corn fed beef and fine dining atmosphere. Reservations recommended in July and August. Sophie's Steakhouse.

Clementine's, South Haven. Long time South Haven staple. Great food and people. Also visit Clem's Too.

Kitchen 527, South Haven. Gourmet burgers and seafood, right in South Haven.

Captain Lou's, South Haven. Bar and grill and live music!

Admiral Jack's, South Haven. Right on the river. Great menu. Open seasonally.

Maria's Taste of Italy, South Haven. A family restaurant with homemade Italian sausage and meatballs. You will feel like you are eating Nonna's house. The cheese bread, pizza and lasagna are delicious too. You really can't go wrong at Maria's.


Schaendorf Brewing Co. Farm to table cuisine and brewing company.

The Grill House. Like your steak a particular way, at The Grill House, you get to grill your steak! Or, have one of their expert chef's cook for you.

Village Inn. A throw back to the family restaurant of days gone by. Great selection on their menu and is a great place for breakfast.

The Golden Bough, Bangor, MI. American Bistro with a great, creative menu. The Golden Bough

Sweetwater's Donut Mill, Kalamazoo, MI. Named one of the best donuts in the county and known for their creative donuts (strawberry lemonade, New York cheesecake or blueberry pancake). Locally owned for almost 30 years, they have several locations. Sweetwater's Donut Mill
