Our family had an incredible vacation at Jeff and Laurie’s Maui condo. The cleanest, most comfortable, most stylish and most well equipped condo we have ever stayed at in Maui. Exceptional location in Kihei and within the complex. Ground level entry right by the pool is great! The communication, attention to detail and organization provided by the hosts is amazing. The condo has beach towels, beach chairs, beach umbrella, beach wagon, sand free beach mat, boogie boards, coolers…..anything and everything you need for your days at the beach. Oh and don’t forget the decor coordinating water bottles 🙂 The welcome basket and card put a smile on our faces when we arrived after a long day of travel. Will definitely be back!

We absolutely loved the Salty Mermaid! The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare our meals plus some! Some items included that are often not available were a crock pot and a blender. We enjoyed watching the birds as we drank our coffee on the side deck in the vacant lot next door. We enjoyed the quietness (and shade) of the location and being surrounded by the trees, bushes, and flowers more than being right on the beach. We drove and/or biked to the beach everyday, and it is not an inconvenience to our group. We didn't realize there were the many beach chairs provided, so we would recommend these and the other items in the shed be added to the posted amenities. We did not feel crowded in this house as the bedrooms are spread out along the back side with a bathroom each, and the multiple seating areas allowed us to spread out in our own spaces - in the large tv room, the small tv room, the front sitting room and the outside. If you have dogs, the backyard would be perfect for them as well. Most beach houses have tons of steps, so if you have family members with mobility issues, this is a gem. (And, even, not, it sure makes loading and unloading much easier.) When we come back to St. George, we will rent again from Kristi. Kristi was very prompt with answering all my Houfy messages and my cell phone texts.

Honestly, it's a place with potential, but as of now the pillows, bedsheets and bathroom do reek of cigarette smoke. Moreover, the pillows and bedsheets were damp, like they weren't completely dried when someone made the bed with them, which made it really uncomfortable to sleep. The noise it's a big issue that should be stated in the place despcription. I know you can't say explicitly that it's noisy but you could indicate that the place is immediately next to the street on the front of the building in the first floor, as opposed to in the back ir the side of the building in the first floor. So someone who can read in between the lines would understand it. More importantly now, we had a big misunderstanding concerning our personal details for FRO registration. Ahaana was traveling and not there to receive us as it is the case for many Airbnb hosts. However the check-in attendant did not speak much English and wasn't familiar with the FRO process. We indicated in our form itself that we live in India, and didn't write our addresses in our home countries because those aren't our permanent addresses now. Days later the host wrote to me about this and since I was traveling and with limited time and internet connection it was hard for me to respond. This made for an elongated, tiresome, and confusing (Hidden by Airbnb) conversation. This situation could be avoided by training staff to ask one or two questions before handing out forms so everybody knows that the correct procedure is being followed.

Served every need we had. We rented because at the time of renting we had our AussieCollie that traveled with us everywhere. On Tuesday before a Friday check in we lost her. I informed Ms. Alonzo about our situation and when we arrived the was a card with her condolences. Could use a half bath for us older people. Great overall experience.communication and
