Lubbock vacation rentals

The Bung was everything we couldve asked for. Outdoor activities were a bonus and the coziness on the inside was perfect. The Bung was clean and close to everything. I will definitely stay here again, and recommend friends and family to stay here as well when traveling to the area.

This is the one of cutest VRBOs we have stayed in. We love the beach, but our travels took us to Lubbock. So this house was the best of both. We just needed an ocean sound machine and a little humidity and we would have truly felt like we were at the beach. So many extra details that made us feel like we were at the beach. Every room beautifully decorated with a different beach/tropical theme. And the outside courtyard is AMAZING!! Such a fun place for our family to gather and relax. We had a wonderful time and will definitely be back, if our travels bring us back to Lubbock.

You can’t tell from the pictures that there are chips in the tile in the hall and that it just feels a bit old in some ways - broken blinds in the kitchen and a cracked pain of glass so you can’t open the window. Also in the bedroom there is no screen so when we went to open that window even just for a few minutes we had a couple flies fly in. (I needed to open the window because there were air freshener plug ins that were so strong they gave me a sore throat) Location is just ok. Not a bad neighborhood. Also in the morning I got a message about making sure to remember check out is at 11 and to make sure to do what the instructions say. I mention this because up until this time every message I’ve ever received from an Airbnb host has been about serving me as a guest - this felt not at all like that There are some positives - the little house was clean when we arrived. It feels very private so that’s nice. The bed is quite comfortable but be warned very creaky no matter how light you are (for reference my husband weighs 120 lbs and even if he just rolled over the bed creaked - didn’t affect me because I’m a deep sleeper but it might be a problem for light sleepers. The owner left a nice book with some of their favorite places which was a nice touch. If you are just in town for a night and want lots of privacy go for it. For me any longer than that and I’d go with a nice 3 or 4 star hotel which if you hunt can be the same price!

We have stayed at many rentals in Lubbock for holidays to bring our families together to one central location. This has by far been one of our best experiences. It was clean & comfortable. The backyard is like a whole additional living space. When I needed additional pots to finish cooking our Thanksgiving meal, Beverly brought them to me from her home. Upon our arrival, she had a huge chunk of cake for me for my birthday. She definitely made us feel at home. This will be our go to location when visiting Lubbock without a doubt.

The Hut is preciously decorated, and the backyard area is awesome for hanging out when the weather is nice. My college daughter and her friends that visited me were delighted with the swings, darts and yard games. The house was just the right size equipped with all the necessities for coffee and even some snacks. The TV/kitchen area was delightful, and we enjoyed the puzzle! A couple of the cups smelled funky, and I discovered it was due to a sour sponge. I alerted the host and was informed there was a new housekeeper, and the issue would be resolved. Some of the neighboring houses seemed a little sketchy, but I did not have any problems. Otherwise, it was an enjoyable visit, and I would definitely stay at this property again, even maybe renting the larger house in front when the rest of my family joins me!

The property itself was nice enough. Nicely appointed and the bed had a 4" foam mattress topper that made the bed quite comfortable. The living area is extremely small so there is really nowhere to stretch out and relax after a long day (other than the bed) The biggest problem I had with the property was the BARKING DOG! It is a garage that was turned into an apartment for Airbnb. He did a good job remodeling it and making it look nice for a rental however the main house is apparently rented to other people who have a beautiful Chow Chow. This dog barked non stop ALL NIGHT LONG! I messaged Christian several times about the issue and he said that he messaged the tenant several times hoped that they would do something. Nothing ever happened the dog woke me up 4-5 times throughout the night every night (I was there three nights). Because it is a garage apartment the dog was literally 5 feet from my bedroom window! Nothing I did would get the dog to stop barking. Christian apologized and offered me a rate adjustment for the issue. I did not want an adjustment, I just wanted to sleep. So beware! There is a good chance you will have a barking dog just outside your window if you stay at this property

We were lucky to have this home for our stay for Tech's Homecoming Weekend. It was the perfect size for my husband and I as well as our friends. It was also great for entertaining or kids. Because of the weather, we weren't able to use the outdoor areas as much as we would have liked. But they were great amenities and we look forward to coming back and using them next time. The home was well stocked, clean, and perfect for what we needed. It was also super cute with a lot of attention to detail. And, it was within walking distance to the game, my son's dorm, and the nightlife near the campus.

We enjoyed our stay so much! We had a great time playing ping pong and chilling in the back yard. The house was so clean and cozy. The linens were extremely soft and comfy. We’re looking forward to staying here every time we visit!! Make sure you check out my Papa John’s booth at Vintage Etc Antiques while in town - the best shop with tons of treasures.
