Jane and richard's house indeniably has a soul. You will feel it upon your arrival. Even if you enter their privacy, at no time you wil feel an intruder. Everything is welcoming here. The organization of the interior space is intuitive: things are found easily, as if the guest had designed them that way. The style is a tribute to the Entente Cordiale, between France and UK, but also present and past, countryside and modernity, apparent rusticity and great comfort, a mixture of genres always in the best taste. However, wherever the eyes fall, the house is full of charming details, a real “cabinet of curiosities”: the decoration, the paintings, photographs, ornaments, books, cds etc. A rabbit here, a duck there... Lewis Carrol and Beatrix Potter reunited ! In this regard, the connection between the interior and the exterior is harmonious. The best illustrations are the visits we had in the morning, for breakfast: little rabbits in the garden, birds... even a fawn! The colourful magic of Bambi in your garden ! In fact, the house is neither more nor less than like its owners, full of a caring presence, full of charming promises. Thanks for your kindness Jane and Richard . Alain, Aurore, Alicia and Aloys. Wij hebben met de familie een hele fijne vakantie gehad in deze mooie vila. De woonkamer en keuken zijn momenteel nog tijdelijk en daarom wat krap voor 8 volwassenen maar het buitengedeelte bij het zwembad met bbq en plancha maken dit meer dan goed. Parkeergelegenheid op het terrein is echt top. De slaapkamers zijn ruim en heel fijn dat elke slaapkamer een eigen (mooie) badkamer en airco heeft. Van de verbouwing van het deel wat nog ontwikkeld moet worden heb je geen last. De host reageert heel snel en correct. Tijdens ons verblijf is het zwembad schoongemaakt (op vrijdag) en de tuin onderhouden (op maandag ivm de hitte, normaal gebeurt dit ook op vrijdag). Hier hebben wij geen hinder van ondervonden, juist heel fijn dat dit zo is geregeld. Het is een aanrader.

En voyage vers le Sud-Ouest en famille (avec 3 enfants dont 2 bébés), le logement correspondait à nos besoins pour faire une étape d’une nuit avant de repartir le lendemain. Logement bien équipé et confortable, très bon rapport qualité-prix pour une famille de 5 personnes, instructions claires de l’hôte, quartier calme, facilité de se garer aux alentours. Hôte disponible et réactif en cas de besoin.

Réservé dans le cadre d'un déplacement professionnel, nous avons été pleinement satisfaites par les prestations de l'appartement, le soin apporté à l'aménagement et la décoration. Le logement est spacieux et entièrement équipé, les 4 chambres disposent d'une armoire avec penderie, ce qui doit être très apprécié lors d'un séjour plus long. Le linge de lit et de toilette est de qualité. Le salon appelle à la détente, ce que nous avons fait autour d'un petit apéro dînatoire ! Kim & Heather made us feel most welcome to their special (C18?) french house and outbuildings which are lovingly kept up. They were always available to answer queries about the locality and to offer friendly local tips with good humour. Their dog, Charlie was another welcoming, friendly presence. On the other hand, our privacy was respected and the terrace to our rented 'cottage' / gite was entirely ours alone, leaving us free to enjoy the peace of the beautiful surroundings undisturbed. Our hosts had thoughtfully provided us with many conveniences to make us feel relaxed and comfortable. These thoughtful touches included designing a space to conveniently park the car beside the entrance to the cottage, which, by the way, provided excellent clothes laundering (and airing) facilities .... not to mention swimming towels and everything else we required, was readily on hand. We relished the beautiful surrounding countryside and the sense of timelessness and nurture that this unspoilt region of France offers. N.B. The character of the nearby rivers, Brantome (exceptional!) and other attractive towns and villages are just round the corner.

We spent 4 days in this beautiful barn conversion and really enjoyed our stay in this beautifully decorated house which is much better than in the pictures. We felt very "homy" and had plenty of space for our family of seven people. The kids really enjoyed the trampoline and of course the swimming pool. There are 4 bedrooms, 2 of them are really big and one is medium and the other is small but suitable for the kids. Lower floor is cool , the upper floor is warmer during heat peaks. Perfectly equipped for those who like cooking or BBQ. Nous avons passé 4 jours dans cette belle ancienne grange et avons vraiment apprécié notre séjour dans cette maison joliment décorée, qui est bien mieux que dans les images. Nous nous sentions comme à la maison et avions beaucoup d'espace pour notre famille de sept personnes. Les enfants ont vraiment apprécié le trampoline et bien sur la piscine. Il y a 4 chambres, dont 2 sont très grandes et l'une moyenne et l'autre petite mais adaptée aux enfants. Le RDC est frais, Quand l'étage supérieur est plus chaud pendant les pics de chaleur. Cuisine Parfaitement équipée pour ceux qui aiment cuisiner ou le barbecue.
