This residence is centrally located with over 50 restaurants and the yoga barn within 5 minutes walk. Located at the back of a hotel, facing a small river, our house is also quiet and has a view on a small rice field.

You can relax by the PRIVATE INFINITY POOL in the morning and go shopping or to the Monkey forest later in the day.

In a busy part of Ubud, Samastiti residence is located at the bottom of Jalan Hanoman.

There are over 50 great restaurants within walking distance. ( we will provide you a list of our favorite ones)

You are a few minutes' walk from the famous Yoga Barn, the shopping of Jalan Hanoman, the HUBUD coworking space, the arma museum, and the monkey forest. Forget about driving and getting stuck in the heavy traffic in Ubud. Here, you can do everything on foot.

Yet we are at the back of a hotel so the house is very quiet and surrounded by nature but you need to walk 100 meters through the hotel pathway to access the house.

We are perfect for people looking for quiet in the center of Ubud BUT our house is not great if you have mobility issues.

Coco supermarket ( one of the biggest western supermarkets in Ubud) is located within 5 minutes walk which makes it convenient to stock up on whatever you need.

We are one of the only private pool villa in the area and most of our neighbors are hotels which means we have limited noise from dogs or rosters in the morning

2) An infinity pool

The private infinity pool overlooking the small river and the ricefield is an amazing place to relax. You can spend an afternoon watching the dragon flies, birds, squirrels, ...

3) A Balinese artist house

The house was built by Dewa Nyoman Batuan. He is a famous Balinese artist and you can find his paintings in museums like the Arma or Neka museums. We are lucky to still have many of his art in the house. You will find his amazing mandala paintings on the wall and frescoes on the terrace.

Samastiti residence is one of the oldest houses in the area and is full of characters. We are following Balinese traditions, have 3 temples or altars within the house. You might be lucky to witness a ceremony in the house as they usually happen 4 times a month

4) Good internet

While 100% internet reliability doesn't exist in Bali (sorry), we are connected to Biznet, one of the fastest and most reliable internet provider on the island.

We have wifi at 100mbps so you can stream and do video calls easily.

Despite having the best provider on the island, we still experience an outage from time to time as 100 percent internet reliability doesn't exist in Bali.

We have installed an extender near the pool so that you can access internet in your rooms but also near the pool.

5) Eco-Friendly

We designed this house to be as eco-friendly as possible and we look for guests who share our respect of the earth. We recycle trash, do composting, have a solar water heater, use natural pest controls as much as possible and have a permacuture inspired food garden. If you are lucky, you might get to try our homegrown fruit and vegetables. In the garden, we have planted avocado, mangosteen, coconuts, papaya, banana, durian, passion fruits, strawberries, and pineapples

6) western comfort.

The house has been totally renovated to western comfort. New plumbing, electricity, bathrooms, mosquito nets in all bedrooms...

The 2 bedrooms have windows fenced with mosquito nets which allows you to sleep with the windows open. We also have automated windows that you can close should you wish to use the air conditioning in the room.

One of the 2 bathrooms is open and has a fishpond inside (!) while the other one is enclosed. Both bathrooms have a bathtub

7) Free water, Tea and Coffee

A gallon of Nestle drinking water is provided free of charge. As well as tea and coffee.

8) Help you plan your trip in Bali

There is a lot to do in Ubud beyond yoga and relaxing so make sure you book a long enough stay. Most of Bali is accessible on day trips .

We can recommend a great driver and help you book activities like bicycle tours, volcano hies, rafting or even Gili and Penida boat transfers.

We will take good care of you and help you have a stress free holiday in Bali!
