Our loft-style, 1960s built cabin is tucked away in the Shawneeland community outside of historic downtown Winchester, VA. Nestled in the heart of the Appalachian Mountains, our cabin provides the perfect getaway for those seeking peace and relaxation in a serene setting.

Our cabin provides a cozy but contemporary design, featuring large windows that offer views of the surrounding nature. The interior is decorated with comfortable furniture and modern amenities, including a fully equipped kitchen, ultra high-speed WiFi, and a smart TV with streaming services.

The cabin comfortably accommodates up to six guests with three bedrooms, each furnished with soft bedding and linens. The bathroom features an updated shower with gold fixtures and fluffy towels.

Outside, guests can enjoy the beauty of the forest from the comfort of our spacious patio, complete with comfortable seating, charcoal grill and an outdoor firepit. For those seeking adventure, there are numerous hiking and biking trails nearby, as well as opportunities for kayaking, fishing, skiing, horse back riding, tubing, and other outdoor activities.

Shawneeland is a community located in the city of Winchester, VA, about 8 miles southwest of the downtown Winchester city limits and 90 miles west of Washington, DC.

Shawneeland offers country living close to the amenities of nearby Virginia towns and cities. Residents enjoy a man-made lake that offers a sandy beach suited for fishing and swimming, as well as a playground and fishing ponds for all to enjoy.

A car is required to get to a nearby grocery store and community attractions. Parking is free and abundant.

* The cabin is located in the Shawneeland community, which features mostly full and part-time residents. There are four visible neighbors from the cabin, two of which live in their residences full time.

* There are insects big and small that may migrate in for cozy temperatures despite all our efforts to keep them out. It is a cabin in the woods, after all! Please keep the doors closed at all times.

* This is a dog-friendly cabin (maximum: 1 dog, 75 lbs or less. $60 pet fee applies per stay). While we happily welcome guests without dogs, please note dogs have been in the cabin if you have a serious allergy.

* One of our neighbors has two outdoor cats (a white/brown and a black) that occasionally wander into our yard in the wee hours of the morning. They're very friendly :)Come get cozy at Kona’s cabin!
