Pasadena vacation rentals

My family spent two weeks in this lovely home. It was our first real West Coast trip as a family, and the house was a great base for it. Best surprise in the backyard: a lemon tree that dropped 3-4 lemons a day. Small thing, but we don't get weather for anything like that where we live, so it turned into everyone's favorite part of the place. The other thing that got us was how walkable it is. We'd walk to Jack in the Box, Villa's Tacos, and a bunch of other spots, and in a city this famous for traffic there were whole days we never touched the car. The street is quiet and easy to settle into. A couple of cats and dogs across the way kept the kids busy, and the neighbors on one side were friendly without crowding us. The host was excellent too, usually replying within seconds and friendly every time we reached out. If I'm being picky, parking was difficult for a large SUV and street parking filled up fast, but none of that got in the way. Great for anyone who wants central but calm.

This place is a gem! I almost hate to let the secret out. Therese and Jose have designed a lovely, warm home, tastefully furnished, including a gas fireplace in the living room and a lot of well-loved art and collectibles. The bed was terrific, there was plenty of closet and drawer space and a full-sized washer and dryer. But the real "gems" of the place are Therese and Jose. They are warm and friendly, even though we only met via text, and incredibly responsive. Therese went so far as to make me short videos explaining how to get in, the fireplace, the location of utilities, etc. Well beyond the call of duty. They stocked the place very generously, with plenty of paper goods, breakfast foods and snacks. A bottle of wine awaited as well. The other unique and remarkable feature was the outdoor space: four different areas including a large patio with picnic table and chairs in front and a fabulous covered "boho" outdoor living room complete with lighting, drapes and a bluetooth speaker. In this time of social distancing, it made our visit easier and memorable. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this house and would be happy to stay there again.

We had a pleasant stay at this Airbnb. The location was convenient and the listing accurately represented what was described. The apartment had a cozy atmosphere, and I appreciated the amenities provided. The kitchen was well-equipped. The only minor drawbacks were the small bathroom, which was located a bit far from the bedroom. While it didn't pose a major inconvenience for me, it might be worth noting for future guests who prioritize proximity to the bedroom. Moreover, one of the bedrooms faced the main road, which occasionally resulted in some noise during sleeping hours. Despite these small issues, my friends and I had an enjoyable experience and appreciated our time there. I would recommend this Airbnb to others seeking accommodation in the area.

I can't even think of where to start when I think about all the awesome things that came with our stay at James' listing in Pasadena. James himself was a rockstar host, and we were so fortunate to have been hosted by someone so reachable, responsive, and thoughtful. He was very clear (and meant it), when he mentioned that he was always happy to help and answer any questions we had. Check-in was also super straightforward, and the instructions he gave prior to our arrival were detailed and accurate. The space itself was so clean, and was also very tastefully decorated. A lot of the design choices were very functional and really utilized the space in a way that made our stay very home-y and cozy, even though our home was 6 hours north. The bed was SO COMFORTABLE. There was actually a night where we only slept for 4 hours (we had to get up early to do something), but it felt like we slept for 10. Also on the topic of comfort, the air conditioning system(s) the unit had really had us forgetting about the present heat wave. It was really easy to use, and it was nice having remotes for each room. The unit itself was well stocked with extra linens, dishes, soap, etc.; all of which made us feel very well taken care of during our stay. The location of this unit was also pretty close and accessible to all the yummy food in Arcadia/Temple City, the freeway, the Huntington Library, and Botanical Gardens. The location was really prime for our stay, and the neighborhood itself felt very safe. I wouldn't even give it a second thought of who we want to stay with when we're back in Pasadena. James is a great host, and the unit was an absolute knockout. Thanks a lot for such a great stay, James!

Thank you James for sharing your Airbnb! It was perfect for us! The check in process was extremely easy! James provided clear directions that also included visuals! The location was perfect and the listing was clean and cozy! James quickly responded to any questions we had about the listing! The Airbnb was a great central location for what we planned to do while we were in the LA area. We spent several days visiting Venice Beach, Santa Monica, LA, and the baseball stadiums. We also drove to see the sunrise at Joshua Tree National Park. We appreciated returning to our quiet and peaceful accommodations and we didn’t have to worry about looking for parking!

This was our second visit to Pasadena and our stay with James, and his co-hosts very quickly became one of our favorites! Host(s) provide extremely detailed instructions for anything relating to their place, upon booking and are super responsive to whatever may be needed. We inquired about a slightly earlier check-in as well as a place to store our bikes during our stay. Both inquiries were quickly accommodated! Located in a great area of town- close to good restaurants, yet quiet. Host(s) also provide an extensive list of places to eat and things to do. Suite is located in the main house near the front of the property...definitely private, but a little street noise evident. There are earplugs, just in case! Otherwise, the room was delightful- comfortable bed and other amenities to make one's stay very pleasant. Overall, we felt welcome, safe, comfortable, and really enjoyed James' space :) Would be happy to return to this delightful accommodation.
