Get outdoors and have fun doing the activities you enjoy, teach your kids to love adventures.
I have learned that if I teach my kids to do outdoor activities, I need to be able to do it with them. So, we teach them the things we like. I can't tell you how great it felt the first time everyone could ski, and we got to the top of the mountain as a family. Or, how my youngest at 5 rode a mountain bike 1900 ft in elevation up hill and we all did it together. Don't get me wrong there will be frustrations, tears, freak outs, and hangry moments. Just expect it and plan for it. I tell my kids its ok to feel just work through those and use that for your energy.

Go outside with them. Your kids will want to go outside more if you go play with them. Have fun, let them see you smile and enjoy yourself. Teach them how to do activities, things you enjoy they will enjoy with you.
