SPECIFICS ~

LIGHTS ~ We may have left outside lights on for you. Please turn them off when no longer needed. Front flood lights are in the living room left of the French doors. Back flood lights are left of the back door. Thanks....much appreciated!

INSPECT ~ Please do an initial walk-through and alert us to anything amiss. We will make it right with a 5-star response.

CONTACT US ~ Text or call: 802-356-4712 or 802-291-3839. Hopefully, we have dotted all our I's and crossed all out T's. We work very hard to prepare for your stay, but we are human. CALL if anything is urgent. First, try one number and then the other if you don't hear back within 5 minutes. We both work and may not be able to respond instantly due to work or cell service. Call 911 if you have an emergency.

KEY ~ After your initial check-in, it's a very good idea to place the key back in the lockbox. There are guest keys to use during your stay and they are hanging on a hook in the living room.

~ CHECK-OUT ~

Check-out is before 11:00 AM

Check-In & Check-Out

- Beds & Linens - Leave sheets on the beds, we will take care of them. Place towels in the hampers provided or in the tubs.

- Dishes- Place dishes in dishwasher. We will take care of them.

-Wipe Counter, Stove, and Table- Counters, tables, and stove must be wiped clean and clear as this keeps mice and bugs from moving in.

- Keys....Make sure keys are in the lockbox and cottage keys are hanging up in the living room. A good way to lock up is to lock the porch screen door first, then French doors, master bedroom door, bathroom to outside door, and exit out the main bedroom door locking it behind you.

- Heat....Please turn down the furnace in the hallway and heater in the living room down to 60 when you leave.

- Waste Removal - It's a safety issue and Vermont law! There will be a notebook on the counter.

  • Garbage- Behind the lean-to May-November. In the lean-to November-May.
May to November - The garbage area has an electric fence to prevent attracting wildlife. To disable it, unclip the clip attached to the rod. It looks like a black clothespin. If you are uncomfortable with this, leave the trash inside. Place overflow trash in the cellarway and we will take care of it.
  • Recycling- Place rinsed recycling containers (plastic, glass, tin) with caps removed in the red container(s). Recycling needs to be rinsed so we don't attract creatures great and small. They WILL come to dine if these aren't followed. Cardboard goes into small/short blue bins. Redeemables go in the short black container labeled 5 & 10 cent returns.
  • Food- Compost (including used paper plates) goes into the bucket on the backdoor deck or in the compost pile next to the back lawn in summer. You can also burn your paper plates in your fires outside and that will eliminate any creatures from wanting them.
  • Meat & dairy go into the freezer; we will dispose of them. Plastic bags are in the hutch drawer in the pantry.
  • Do not put food in the garbage, it will attract animals- it goes into the compost. We also have a recycling notebook on the desk in the living room. Questions? Please ask us.

- Pick Up .....In summer- Toys and lawns are picked up and placed neatly in the woodshed.

Thank you!
